Winnipeg Free Press - ONLINE EDITION
May 14 Horoscope
MOON ALERT We have the all clear today to shop (whether you spend $10 or $10 million) and make important decisions. The moon is in Pisces.
ARIES (March 21-April 19) Trust your money-making ideas today because you’re in a resourceful mood! And hey— your resourcefulness extends further to anything you own, which is why you see new uses or applications for something. In part, this is because you’re a courageous thinker (not afraid of new ideas) and so clever with your hands.
TAURUS (April 20-May 20) You have the mind of a sleuth today. You’re not concerned with superficial issues. Au contraire. You want to know what’s going on beneath everything. You’re attracted to mysteries and will enjoy reading mystery novels or seeing mystery movies. You might also meet someone mysterious.
GEMINI (May 21-June 20) Your research skills are fabulous today. If there’s something you want to know more about or you’re seeking an answer or a solution to a problem, by all means, roll up your sleeves and dig in. You will instinctively know how to go for the jugular.
CANCER (June 21-July 22) Group discussions will be powerful and memorable today because someone in the group is so convincing! This person is determined to get their way and persuade others to agree with them. (Actually, this person could be you.)
LEO (July 23-Aug. 22) You will easily persuade parents, teachers, bosses and VIPs to agree with your plans today. You are so convincing, others will simply fall in line. Alternatively, someone in authority might powerfully convince you to do their bidding. (Could go either way but it’s more fun being the boss.)
VIRGO (Aug. 23-Sept. 22) You have such excellent concentration and perseverance; you’ll excel at any study today. Pick a topic and put your mind to it. You want to get to the bottom of things; you also want to better understand how something works.
LIBRA (Sept. 23-Oct. 22) Do act on any chance you get to have your say in the division of something or how to share something, including inheritances and insurance payouts or jointly-held property. You will be powerfully persuasive and others will listen to you. (Good!)
SCORPIO (Oct. 23-Nov. 21) A serious discussion with a partner or close friend might include how to improve your style of relating to each other. You’re not a casual person (even though you are playful). Your relationships matter to you a great deal.
SAGITTARIUS (Nov. 22-Dec. 21) This can be a productive day at work for you because your research skills are great plus you have a strong urge to see how to do things better. You’re keen to introduce reforms or improvements to your job and maybe to your co-workers as well! (Easy does it.)
CAPRICORN (Dec. 22-Jan. 19) When it comes to the arts, sports, the entertainment world, the hospitality industry and anything to do with children today, you are full of ideas about how to do things better or introduce new ideas.
AQUARIUS (Jan. 20-Feb. 18) This is the perfect day to plan or do repairs where you live. You see new uses for things you own or new ways of doing things. In particular, you might want to tackle plumbing, bathrooms, laundry and even garbage and recycling.
PISCES (Feb. 19-March 20) Because your mind is full of penetrating insight today, it’s a great day to study, or persuade others to agree with you. You can easily sell something or teach others. You might even see ways to improve your immediate surroundings because you are unusually resourceful. You want to clean things up.
TODAY’S BIRTHDAY
Film director/screenwriter/producer Sofia Coppola (1971) shares your birthday today. You like to be modern and up-to-date. Personally, you push yourself hard because you’re energetic plus you’re a perfectionist. You are often misunderstood by others because of your swings between super activity and contemplative solitude. Sometimes you overwork yourself because you’re so excited about your ideas. A lovely, social year awaits you that will improve all relationships. Enjoy!
