Saturday, April 7

MOON ALERT Avoid shopping or making important decisions from 5 a.m. until 10:30 a.m. After that the moon moves from Libra into Scorpio.

ARIES (March 21-April 19)

Let's face it. You're a bit testy today. If you meet someone else who feels like this, feathers will fly! This could be because you're trying to convince someone to agree with you. You're enthusiastic about something but annoyed if others will not see things your way. (It was ever thus.)

TAURUS (April 20-May 20)

Quarrels at work or squabbles about purchases might arise today. You're not going to back down. You feel quite aggressive about something related to a possession, a recent purchase or your earnings. Naturally, you won't make a scene because it's not your style. (You'll just make a phone call.)

GEMINI (May 21-June 20)

Tension with family members or people at home might arise today. Quite likely, you feel attacked. Lord knows you're being as diplomatic and charming as you can but that doesn't seem to be enough. What gives? Just let this stressful moment slide by. Tomorrow is a lovely day.

CANCER (June 21-July 22)

Because you feel vaguely dissatisfied or unhappy about something, little criticisms and picky comments might leak out of your mouth. ("Did I just say that?") When you're happy, it's easy to be tolerant. Try to think happy thoughts. (Actually, the fact that you're reading this column puts you in an elite percentile, globally speaking.)

LEO (July 23-Aug. 22)

Disagreements with groups (or one person) might arise today. Consider this an opportunity to practise patience. You're a very regal, "royal" sign and sometimes feel affronted when others don't appreciate your point of view. It happens. (Deep bow.)

VIRGO (Aug. 23-Sept. 22)

Relations with authority figures are testy today. However, keep in mind that you've really been flexing your muscles lately. In all likelihood, you're not entirely aware of this because Mars has been in your sign for so long now, your forcefulness feels comfy familiar! "How's them apples?!" (Don't do anything you'll regret later.)

LIBRA (Sept. 23-Oct. 22)

Avoid touchy subjects like politics, religion and racial issues. Disagreements will arise too easily. In fact, relations with people from other cultures are fragile today. Even arguments about religious art could arise. (Weird.)

SCORPIO (Oct. 23-Nov. 21)

Disputes about shared property, taxes, insurance matters and inheritances are likely today. Discussions will start softly, in a friendly manner, and then escalate into a heated argument. (Whaaat?) Why not walk away before things get ugly?

SAGITTARIUS (Nov. 22-Dec. 21)

Relations with partners and close friends are hot and cold today. In some ways, they're smooth. But in other ways, they're hopelessly challenging! Just agree to disagree. Let this one go. Remember that optimism and positive vibes are important to you. "Let the Wookie win."

CAPRICORN (Dec. 22-Jan. 19)

No matter how smooth things appear at work, something is not right. Somebody has an agenda and they're not happy. (Could be you.) Perhaps opposition to your ideas to beautify something or boost morale are not appreciated? Timing is everything.

AQUARIUS (Jan. 20-Feb. 18)

Romantic relationships might be stressed over shared expenses or the division of labour or who is responsible for what. Romance can be lovey-dovey but practical considerations can't be ignored. (Never happens in the movies where people always get parking spaces right in front of their building. Have you noticed?)

PISCES (Feb. 19-March 20)

Don't be worried if others (especially partners and close friends) don't go along with your ideas at home today. People all over the planet are having disagreements today. But they're sort of mild. Nothing horrendous. Try to go with the flow.

TODAY'S BIRTHDAY

Director Francis Ford Coppola (1939) shares your birthday. Whatever you do, you do with enthusiasm and energy. This is why you have the ability to inspire others. You are philosophical and spiritual whether others know this or not; perhaps this is why you become much wiser as you mature. (You also learn how to deal with anger.) In the year ahead, you will begin a new cycle in your life. Open any door!
