MOON ALERT Caution: After 7:30 a.m. avoid shopping or making important decisions for the rest of the day. The moon is in Aries.

ARIES (March 21-April 19)

This is a tricky day because you have strong opinions about financial matters and making purchases. However, this is a Moon Alert day so you should avoid these even though you're keen about something. A slippery slope indeed.

TAURUS (April 20-May 20)

You're full of mental energy and eager to talk to others. You're also full of wonderful, creative ideas. In this respect, this is a productive day. However, it's also loosey-goosey (because of the Moon Alert) so just kick ideas around and shmooze with others but postpone important decisions until tomorrow.

GEMINI (May 21-June 20)

This is a good day to do research. Your mind is free-floating and making connections through free association plus you're interested in anything secretive, hidden or behind the scenes. Your concentration might be a bit flighty but your creative process is turned on.

CANCER (June 21-July 22)

You will be a dynamo dealing with groups (classes, casual get-togethers, meetings or conferences). People will listen to you, in part because you're bossy but also because you seem to know what you're talking about. Nevertheless, this is a Moon Alert day so whatever you initiate might never happen.

LEO (July 23-Aug. 22)

Someone in a position of authority might be bossy or, vice versa, you might be assertive with others, especially parents, bosses, teachers and VIPs. That's because you're putting a lot of who you are into what you have to say. Best to postpone important decisions until tomorrow.

VIRGO (Aug. 23-Sept. 22)

You have great energy to study and research anything. You're excited to learn new things plus you have a lot of curiosity and drive. Also, you enjoy travel, seeing new places and meeting new faces. Broaden your experience of the world today. Live it up!

LIBRA (Sept. 23-Oct. 22)

You have strong opinions about how shared property, taxes, debt or anything you own jointly with others should be handled today. No doubt you will speak up. Nevertheless, this is a poor day for agreements and important decisions. Wait until tomorrow.

SCORPIO (Oct. 23-Nov. 21)

Conversations with partners and close friends will be lively because both you and others are intellectually energetic and a bit pushy. Each person wants their own way. Avoid arguments but explore ideas. If you agree on anything, confirm it tomorrow.

SAGITTARIUS (Nov. 22-Dec. 21)

You're so eager to get things done at work you might be giving orders to others and delegating. Perhaps you will encounter someone who does this to you. People are opinionated and full of mental energy. Nevertheless, it's a poor day for decisions. (Go figure!) Wait until tomorrow.

CAPRICORN (Dec. 22-Jan. 19)

This is a very creative day for you. It's easy for you to think out of the box and make connections you might normally miss. Conversations with romantic partners, sports colleagues and children will be enthusiastic and possibly even heated. Don't get your belly in a rash.

AQUARIUS (Jan. 20-Feb. 18)

Family gatherings will be a gabfest because people's minds are energized. That's why family members will be bossy, especially when it comes to making house repairs or telling others what to do. Enjoy these discussions but postpone important decisions until tomorrow.

PISCES (Feb. 19-March 20)

You're expressive! Whatever you say, you throw yourself 100 per cent into it because you identify with your ideas. Naturally, this makes you convincing. However, be warned that today is a poor day to take a stand on something. Wait until tomorrow.

TODAY'S BIRTHDAY

Poet, Nobel laureate Randindranath Tagore (1861-1941) shares your birthday. You inspire others with your life-style choices and because you embrace whatever interests you with zeal and devotion, even to the point of making sacrifices. You are not a quitter. Because you appear confident, self-assured and knowledgeable, others admire you. In your year ahead, something you've been involved with for about nine years will end or diminish to create room for something new to grow in your world.
