Horoscope Aug. 30

MOON ALERT: After 4 a.m. today, we have the "all clear" to do business and make important decisions. The moon is in Scorpio.

ARIES (March 21-April 19)

This is a great day to deal with financial matters, especially if you have to divide or share something with someone. You will feel generous and so will they because people feel bighearted today. (But your intensity will make you keep track of things.)

TAURUS (April 20-May 20)

Today the moon is in Scorpio, which is the sign that is opposite from Taurus. (That's why so many Taurus people marry Scorpios.) However, this placement of the moon today and tomorrow means you have to compromise and co-operate with others.

GEMINI (May 21-June 20)

Today you are influenced in two opposing ways: Part of you wants to get better organized and pull your act together; but another part of you feels extravagant, laid-back and sort of lazy! Take part of your day to get organized and goof off for the rest.

CANCER (June 21-July 22)

This is a wonderful day to shmooz and enjoy the company of others. Take a long lunch. Party with friends. Enjoy sports events, playful times with children, the theatre and the arts. Grab a matinee. Live it up.

LEO (July 23-Aug. 22)

Enjoy relaxing at home today or alternatively, invite the gang over and entertain others. You will be pleased either way. Part of you wants to kick back and relax; but part of you wants to enjoy the company of friends in the comfort of your home.

VIRGO (Aug. 23-Sept. 22)

This is a wonderful day to shmooz, because you feel happy, friendly and upbeat! This could help those of you who write, sell, market, teach and act for a living. However, you're not that pumped to work hard. You would rather play!

LIBRA (Sept. 23-Oct. 22)

This is a good day for business and commerce. Almost all of your money dealings will go well, and could lead to future profits. Nevertheless, there is a tendency to go overboard or be too optimistic about finances. Caution against extravagance.

SCORPIO (Oct. 23-Nov. 21)

Today the moon is in your sign dancing nicely with the other planets. This empowers you although it also makes you more emotional than usual. Nevertheless, things will tend to go your way today. Why not ask the universe for a favour and find out?

SAGITTARIUS (Nov. 22-Dec. 21)

Work alone or behind the scenes today because you will be happy keeping a low profile. (Which of course, will be impossible because the sun is at the top of your chart acting like a spotlight on you.) But hey -- you can do what you can, to enjoy a little privacy.

CAPRICORN (Dec. 22-Jan. 19)

You might feel protective or very supportive toward a friend today because emotional contact with others is important to you. Actually, you might even feel jealous if you feel a friend is paying more attention to someone else. (I hate it when that happens.)

AQUARIUS (Jan. 20-Feb. 18)

Personal details about your private life might be public today. That's just what it is so you might as well be aware of this. Think about what's happening in case you have to do some damage control. You also might want to help someone you know through your job

PISCES (Feb. 19-March 20)

Today you have strong urge to get away from it all (Hand to forehead: "Take me away from all this!") If you can't travel physically, then travel through books and film or even in your mind. Talk to people from foreign countries and different backgrounds. Eat at ethnic restaurants.

TODAY'S BIRTHDAY

Actress Cameron Diaz (1972) shares your birthday. You are strong, steadfast and reliable. You are also confident in your abilities and your physical skills. You are financially astute; which means you have your practical bases covered. This year, something you've been involved with for about nine years will end or diminish to make room for something new. Start thinking about your future! What's next?
