MOON ALERT We have the all clear today to shop and make important decisions until 4 p.m. The moon is in Gemini.

ARIES (March 21-April 19)

This is the perfect day to sit down with others and discuss dreams and ideals. (Avoid boring people today.) You want to get away from it all and if you can't physically get away, then at least you'll transport yourself through conversations about fanciful matters. "What if...?"

TAURUS (April 20-May 20)

Relations with co-workers will be friendly today because you feel sensitive to what others are feeling and thinking. (You might also spend a lot of time daydreaming.) Don't worry about wasting time. This is a mental health day.

GEMINI (May 21-June 20)

This is a fabulous day for artists and anyone who is involved in a creative project. Your imagination is in overdrive and you find it very easy to think outside of the box. Accept invitations to party. Flirt a little. Enjoy the arts, sports or grab a movie.

CANCER (June 21-July 22)

You feel sympathetic to the needs of others at home or within your family today. You certainly are motivated by a genuine, sincere desire to help. Unfortunately, your practical common sense might give way to fanciful ideas that don't really work. Nevertheless, you will lend a sympathetic ear. (Or better yet, a $50.)

LEO (July 23-Aug. 22)

You want to avoid whatever is humdrum, boring and routine today. You will far prefer to fantasize or engage in playful conversations with others about mystical subjects or paranormal activity. Your imagination is definitely heightened. (I see live people.)

VIRGO (Aug. 23-Sept. 22)

This is a poor day to make important financial decisions because you're not as grounded as you usually are. In fact, guard against impractical decisions! In addition, you might be inclined to spend money on luxurious, elegant goodies. Yes, you.

LIBRA (Sept. 23-Oct. 22)

This is a wonderful day to sit down with others and escape into laughter and conversations about fancies, dreams and ideals. Strange and weird subjects will interest you because an element of escapism is ever-present today. (You might start getting heavy metal radio in your mercury fillings.)

SCORPIO (Oct. 23-Nov. 21)

Put off routine, practical tasks today if possible. You would far rather listen to poetry and music or escape in a movie or a video game. Basically, you want to play it low-key -- and you want to have fun doing so! "I'm just a singer in a rock 'n' roll band."

SAGITTARIUS (Nov. 22-Dec. 21)

This is the perfect day to share ideas with others because each person's imaginative input will build so that someone can leap to a new level. Quite literally, you might transcend the limits of rational intellect. ("Houdini, it's your mother asking for you.")

CAPRICORN (Dec. 22-Jan. 19)

This is not an ideal day for important discussions with authority figures: bosses, parents, teachers, VIPs and the police. (They might see how nuts you are. Well, not really. But we all have a side that we don't share with the boss, right?) Play it cool.

AQUARIUS (Jan. 20-Feb. 18)

This is the perfect day to study fanciful subjects or explore spiritual ideas. Esoteric knowledge about astrology, tarot, the Runes, Feng Shui and other mystical disciplines will appeal to you. You might also develop a crush on someone from another culture.

PISCES (Feb. 19-March 20)

This is definitely a poor day to make important decisions about inheritances, shared property and anything you own jointly with others. You might foolishly give too much away or demand much. Either way, postpone these discussions for another day.

TODAY'S BIRTHDAY

Writer Clive Barker (1952) shares your birthday. Fairness and justice are important to you, which is why many of you become politically involved. You want to expose fraud and hypocrisy. Privately, you are fun-loving, creative and adventurous. You believe in living life fully. Whether you seek it or not, you are often a leader for others, especially in society. In the year ahead, partnerships and close friendships will be of primary importance.
