horoscope monday sept 24

MOON ALERT Avoid shopping or making important decisions from 4 p.m. until 6:45 p.m. After that the moon moves from Capricorn into Aquarius.

ARIES (March 21-April 19)

Sometimes we have a fabulous Monday to begin the week. Not today. It's loosey-goosey for a large portion of the day, meaning you don't know if you're coming or going. Secondly, feelings of depression and dread exist briefly this afternoon. It's a pity party!

TAURUS (April 20-May 20)

This is a poor day to deal with authority figures. Initially, you can't trust anything they're going to say. (Oh, quelle surprise!) And secondly, whatever they say will be something like, "Talk to the hand."

GEMINI (May 21-June 20)

Although your focus might be on shared property and inheritances, don't make important decisions in these areas. Later in the day, if mentor figures are on your case, ignore them. This is just a temporary dark cloud on your horizon.

CANCER (June 21-July 22)

Essentially, you have to give today. You have to give in the morning at home. You have to give on the way to work. You have to give to others when you arrive at your job. (Yes, by now you're asking yourself, "What gives?) And you might feel depressed about your fair share of something.

LEO (July 23-Aug. 22)

Lucky Leos will stay in bed and sleep through today. Actually, I lie. You can be productive this morning. Therefore, hustle thy buns. But this afternoon is a writeoff. (That's just a saying; don't count on it.) Don't give in to negative thinking.

VIRGO (Aug. 23-Sept. 22)

You get off easier than the other signs today because this morning is not too bad. Enjoy lighthearted diversions. Take a long breakfast. Goof off. Naturally, this afternoon, you can expect very little productivity except for whining from others. (The ones who have refined it into an art form.)

LIBRA (Sept. 23-Oct. 22)

Home, family and domestic matters are your primary focus this morning. However, this afternoon, wild horses come out to play. Don't count on anything. You could have fun and goof off except you might not feel like it. ("Hi, Eeyore.")

SCORPIO (Oct. 23-Nov. 21)

Lately, you've been working on behind-the-scenes projects. (It's your nature to a sleuth. You're so secretive you don't even look shifty-eyed. That's good.) Communications at home are OK this morning but later this afternoon, everything goes off the rails. Oh well.

SAGITTARIUS (Nov. 22-Dec. 21)

Ironically, despite what others are undergoing, this morning can be productive for you. You're out there playing ball. You've wearing your colours and you know what you're doing. But hold it right there. This afternoon is a total crapshoot, which could develop into bummersville. (These things happen.)

CAPRICORN (Dec. 22-Jan. 19)

You have to watch what you're doing because people notice you now. (This doesn't mean they're watching you; that's a bit different. And scary.) You might be successful dealing with financial matters this morning but then it stops. This afternoon is something to get through. (No biggie, actually.)

AQUARIUS (Jan. 20-Feb. 18)

It's hard to be decisive and productive today. (It's one of those Mondays.) Console yourself with the knowledge that everyone else feels this way in varying degrees. It's just what it is. Later this afternoon, you feel stronger and more focused, except you're not too thrilled about life. And so it goes.

PISCES (Feb. 19-March 20)

Group situations and talking to friends are relatively positive this morning. Do as much as you can because this is your window of opportunity. Know this now. This afternoon is just goofy. And it's not even fun goofy. It's bewildering goofy. Bummer.

TODAY'S BIRTHDAY

Novelist F. Scott Fitzgerald (1896-1940) shares your birthday. You live in the world of your imagination. You adore travel and if you can't travel physically, you will travel through books and film. Change excites you! You want to expand your experience of life and indulge your feelings of restlessness (even if only through short trips). Basically, you're a wanderer. In your year ahead, partnerships and close friendships will be your primary focus.
