Monday's Horoscope

MOON ALERT We have the all clear to do business (whether $10 or $10 million) and make important decisions. The moon is in Leo.

ARIES (March 21-April 19)

Increased responsibilities with children (or romantic partners) might cramp your style this morning. Patience is your best ally. Later, surprise opportunities to enjoy sports, parties, social occasions and fun flirtations will turn your day around. Something interesting will land on your plate.

TAURUS (April 20-May 20)

Stern authority figures, especially in the family, might be a drag this morning. People are either negative or disapproving. (Dontcha love it?) Just grin and bear it. Later in the day, something unexpected might impact your home and family. It might even be the introduction of high-tech toys.

GEMINI (May 21-June 20)

This morning it's easy to fall prey to the paralysis of negativity. "Woe is me. The sky is falling." Don't get caught up in worries. (Worrying is actually a habit.) Later, your mood shifts as you meet new people and see new places. Pleasant surprises could delight. (Nice change.)

CANCER (June 21-July 22)

Your financial scene might look grim this morning or someone might disapprove of your purchases or how you earn your money. (You can't please everyone all the time.) Later, you might discover new ways to make money, find money and spend it. "Who knew?"

LEO (July 23-Aug. 22)

The moon is in your sign, which brings you a bit of good luck. However, relations with authority figures, especially parents, this morning are a drag. (Oy vey.) Fortunately, as the day wears on, something or someone will happily interrupt your routine. Expect fun surprises.

VIRGO (Aug. 23-Sept. 22)

You're out there with your colours flying with both the sun and Mercury in your sign now. This morning, however, you want to play it low-key because you need rest. Nevertheless, later, you might discover something unusual or a secret might be revealed.

LIBRA (Sept. 23-Oct. 22)

Relations with others, especially in group situations, are stifled and stiff this morning. People are unco-operative. Fear not, because by afternoon someone will do something exciting and unexpected that turns your day around. You might also meet a real character.

SCORPIO (Oct. 23-Nov. 21)

It's tough to deal with authority figures this morning (parents, bosses, teachers or the police). Be polite and respectful because others notice you. (Plus they might discover personal details about your private life.) Expect happy surprises later in the day. Whew!

SAGITTARIUS (Nov. 22-Dec. 21)

Difficulties with travel, publishing or anything to do with higher education and the media could be a drag this morning. No matter what you want, the response is, "Talk to the hand." Later in the day, unexpected opportunities will open new avenues.

CAPRICORN (Dec. 22-Jan. 19)

Don't expect co-operation with others about shared property, taxes, debt, inheritances and insurance matters this morning. Quite the opposite. Someone will block your way. But later, things open up, bringing surprises and opportunities to get what you want -- even more.

AQUARIUS (Jan. 20-Feb. 18)

Discussions with partners and close friends are strained this morning. Just accept this. Later in the day, the same people might surprise you with suggestions or demands for more freedom. Whoops! Be alert. (The world needs more lerts.) Alternatively, you might be the person who wants more space in the relationship.

PISCES (Feb. 19-March 20)

Your joints might feel stiff and achy this morning. Furthermore, work seems to be a grind. (Your boss isn't any fun, either.) Later, the introduction of new technology could be exciting or discombobulating. You might also meet someone unusual, fun and exciting who is connected with your work.

MONDAY'S BIRTHDAY

Actor Keanu Reeves (1964) shares your birthday. You are fair-minded, direct and unpretentious. You don't like people who are phony. You believe in telling it like it is. You have excellent money savvy and know how to recognize the value of things. You are honest and forthright. This year you have a chance to study or learn something that will be valuable to you. Look for this opportunity.
