Pick one, drop the others

DEAR MISS LONELYHEARTS: Big trouble! I'm involved with three women. One lives in Winnipeg, one lives in California and one lives in the country here in Manitoba. My online love from California is the one that intrigues me, but it will be years before we can be together. I would even marry her. The one from the country is cute and we have sexy times when she comes to the city. The one living in Winnipeg is a real friend and we have good sex, but I'm never going to be "in love" with her. Today I found out my California girl is coming to visit for two weeks. That's great - but a big problem. She thinks she'll be staying with me, but I will lose the other two - my sources of affection and sex at home. I have considered putting my visitor up in a hotel. What do you think? -- Unhappy Juggler, St. Boniface

Dear Juggler: Mention the hotel idea, and watch her back off. Look, it's time to be very honest with your local ladies. Does the friends-with-benefits Winnipeg woman think she's more than that to you? If so, she needs to hear the straight goods and have the option of stepping back, or dumping you altogether. Does your country girl know she's a part-timer? This is the kind of thing you have to talk to sex partners about, as sexually-transmitted infections are rampant! Plus, it's the decent way to operate as a single person. Then stop being greedy! Pick the American lady you care about, and give her your all, at your house, and introduce her to friends and family. Tell the other two honestly you have met someone online, and this woman is coming to visit in July. You might find out one of your two local suppliers of affection see YOU as part-timer too, and your friendship will survive the visit.
