MOON ALERT We have the all clear today to shop and make important decisions. The moon is in Virgo.

ARIES (March 21-April 19)

Woo, woo! If yesterday was a fuzzy (but creative) day, today is productive! You have great ideas about how to improve things at work and you're industrious. In fact, this enthusiasm for improvement could positively impact your health as well.

TAURUS (April 20-May 20)

This is a creative day for those of you who work with children and those who work in show business, the entertainment world and the hospitality industry. In a nutshell, you see new and better ways of doing things. (Could be positive for financial speculation.)

GEMINI (May 21-June 20)

You want to make improvements at home, especially related to garbage, plumbing, laundry and bathrooms. Act on your urge to clean up your scene! Get rid of what you don't need or use. Recycle it, sell it for turf it. Do yourself a favour.

CANCER (June 21-July 22)

Because you're so convincing today, this is a great day say to sell, market, teach, write, act or convince anyone about anything. Others will listen to you because you sound like you know what you're talking about. (Fake it till you make it.)

LEO (July 23-Aug. 22)

When it comes to cash flow, finances and your possessions, you're uncannily clever and resourceful about seeing new ways to earn money or new uses and applications for something you already own. "My goodness! My Smart car could be a floor lamp!"

VIRGO (Aug. 23-Sept. 22)

Take a realistic look in the mirror (well, maybe not too realistic) and ask yourself what you can do to improve your image? This doesn't have to be a total makeover or anything. Just give it some thought. Hair? Shoes? New duds? There's always room for improvement.

LIBRA (Sept. 23-Oct. 22)

Your research skills are fabulous today. If there's something you're looking for, you'll find it because you instinctively know where to look plus you're emotionally relentless today. (Research requires tenacity.)

SCORPIO (Oct. 23-Nov. 21)

Expect to have a powerful conversation with someone today or encounter someone who is unusually powerful. In fact, this encounter could cause you to modify your future goals. You might also see a new way to work with groups or a new way to fit in somewhere.

SAGITTARIUS (Nov. 22-Dec. 21)

People in authority will notice you today, no matter how briefly. Very likely, they see you as someone who is resourceful and decisive, which, of course, you are both. (Witness how fast you move at an airport.) Be aware that someone might be judging your performance.

CAPRICORN (Dec. 22-Jan. 19)

You might meet a teacher or guru-like figure today. (Or you might play this role for someone else.) Or you might read or hear something that actually shifts your belief about something. New ways to accomplish plans for travel, publishing and the media exist. Be alert. (The world needs more lerts.)

AQUARIUS (Jan. 20-Feb. 18)

This is a good day to ask for a loan or a mortgage or decide how to deal with inheritances, shared property and insurance matters. It's not so much that others are willing to open their coffers for you; rather, it's that you are unusually resourceful about seeing ways to make this a reality. (I'm impressed.)

PISCES (Feb. 19-March 20)

This is an excellent day to sit down with partners or close friends to discuss how to improve the relationship. Or you might just want to have a heart-to-heart, which results in a warmer bond or connection with someone. It's not casual but it will improve things.

TODAY'S BIRTHDAY

Astronaut Scott Carpenter (1925) shares your birthday. You're intelligent, aware of what you want, and you know how to go about getting it. Part of your success is your strong powers of observation. You understand what makes people tick. (You're skilled at dealing with others.) Furthermore, you're down-to-earth, easy going and full of common sense. Others like this. Your year ahead will have a strong focus on partnerships and relationships.
