MOON ALERT We have the all clear today to shop and make important decisions. The moon is in Sagittarius.

ARIES (March 21-April 19)

This is certainly not a boring day. For starters, you are advised to demonstrate patience in the early morning because it's easy to lose your temper. Later however, surprise events might catch you off guard. (Stay in touch with your bank account and arrangements about shared property.)

TAURUS (April 20-May 20)

You'll definitely have to be patient with others today for two reasons: The first is that this morning, everyone is a bit short-tempered, including you. Secondly, others will probably say or do something that catches you off guard. (You whaaat?) Maintain your cool.

GEMINI (May 21-June 20)

Expect a few surprises and detours at work today. The introduction of new, high-tech equipment is likely. Meanwhile, computer crashes, power outages, fire drills and staff shortages could cause a few hiccups. But you might also see genius-like solutions to something! (Clever you.)

CANCER (June 21-July 22)

Parents should keep an eye on their children today because this is a mildly accident-prone day for your kids. Unexpected events related to sports, show business, the entertainment world and the hospitality industry are also likely to occur. Double check all hotel and resort reservations. Definitely.

LEO (July 23-Aug. 22)

Something to do with your home routine will go sideways today. For starters, family quarrels at breakfast might ensue. Try to avoid these because who wants to start their week off that way? Later in the day, surprise company might drop by. Something unexpected will almost surely occur.

VIRGO (Aug. 23-Sept. 22)

This is a mildly accident-prone day for you, so pay attention to whatever you say or do. Keep your eyes open and think before you speak. However, this same unpredictable influence will also encourage you to think out of the box and come up with amazing new solutions and recommendations.

LIBRA (Sept. 23-Oct. 22)

Keep an eye on your cash-flow scene today. You might find money; you might lose money. If shopping, count your change and keep your receipts. Make friends with your bank account. Guard your possessions against loss or theft. Be alert to new ways to earn money!

SCORPIO (Oct. 23-Nov. 21)

This is an interesting, innovative day. Tempers might flare this morning, so be diplomatic and patient with others. Later in the day, your routine will be interrupted for some reason. Knowing this ahead of time, allow extra time for wiggle room. (Make your life easier.)

SAGITTARIUS (Nov. 22-Dec. 21)

You might feel annoyed with someone this morning but at the same time, you feel you can't say anything. Naturally, this means you're doing a slow boil about something. Perhaps this is why things might go a bit haywire and off-track today. Steady as she goes.

CAPRICORN (Dec. 22-Jan. 19)

Be patient with friends, especially in group situations this morning. Quite likely, you will meet someone unusual and different today. Possibly, someone you know will say or do something that surprises you. It's an interesting day but it's also unpredictable.

AQUARIUS (Jan. 20-Feb. 18)

You might feel rebellious this morning. If others are bossy with you, you won't like it. Nevertheless, something interesting related to an authority figure in your life will happen today. Could be a new boss or a new teacher or surprising news about someone you know. Hmmm.

PISCES (Feb. 19-March 20)

Avoid controversial subjects this morning because people are argumentative. (There are none so deaf as those who are wearing headphones.) Travel plans might be cancelled or changed today. Ditto for plans with publishing, the media, medicine and the law. Nevertheless, you might make an exciting breakthrough if you're studying something.

TODAY'S BIRTHDAY

Singer Thelma Houston (1946) shares your birthday. Even if you're being flippant, you have a dignity that others respect. Perhaps it's because people sense you're devoted to your values, and because of this, you never give up. You're comedic but you also have grace and panache. You're extremely hard-working. Good news! Your year ahead might be one of the most powerful years of your life. Dream big.
