Winnipeg Free Press - PRINT EDITION
May 11 Horoscope
MOON ALERT We have the all clear today to shop (whether you spend $10 or $10 million) and make important decisions. The moon is in Aquarius.
ARIES (March 21-April 19)
A friend might surprise you today, especially in a group situation whether it's a small coffee klatch, a classroom or large conference. Alternatively, some will meet a real character or someone who is bohemian or unorthodox. It's an interesting day.
TAURUS (April 20-May 20)
Someone in a position of authority will surprise you today or catch you off guard. This might be pleasant or it might be something that makes you want to rebel. Definitely, do not quit your day job today. Things are too much up in the air.
GEMINI (May 21-June 20)
Expect changes or cancellations to travel plans today. Ditto for anything to do with higher education. However, you could make a brilliant breakthrough in studies or in publishing, the media, medicine and the law. Contact with someone from another culture will fascinate you.
CANCER (June 21-July 22)
Something to do with the wealth of others is unpredictable today. This could be good; this could be bad. For example, gifts, goodies and favours from others might come to you. Alternatively, you might get less than you expected if something is divided. Could go either way.
LEO (July 23-Aug. 22)
Someone might throw you for a loop today. It could be fun or it could be unnerving. Few know Leos don't like surprises (unless they plan them.) What Leos like is a predictable outcome.
VIRGO (Aug. 23-Sept. 22)
Your work routine will be interrupted by something today. If you're lucky, it will be the introduction of new, high-tech toys. If you're unlucky, it will be computer crashes, power outages, staff shortages and cancelled meetings. (Of course, cancelled meetings can be lucky or unlucky.)
LIBRA (Sept. 23-Oct. 22)
Today an unexpected flirtation might make your heart go ka-thump. Someone might say or do something to make you feel desirable. (The blossom of new love!) Surprise outcomes with sports and dealings with children are also likely.
SCORPIO (Oct. 23-Nov. 21)
Something unexpected in your home routine will occur today. You might run out of something at breakfast. Someone unexpected might knock on your door. Small appliances might break down or minor breakages could occur. Today is full of a host of possibilities that will create little detours.
SAGITTARIUS (Nov. 22-Dec. 21)
This is a mildly accident-prone day for your sign so be careful. Be extra mindful of everything you say or do. The upside is you might be full of brilliant, genius like ideas. Many of you will also meet new people or people who are different or unusual.
CAPRICORN (Dec. 22-Jan. 19)
Keep an eye on your cash flow scene today. Things are unpredictable. For example, you might find or lose money or you might break or lose something you own. However, you might also dream up some wonderful, new moneymaking schemes or see a way to get a better-paying job. Yes!
AQUARIUS (Jan. 20-Feb. 18)
You feel restless today. You want more excitement in your life. This is why you might do something that punctures someone's balloon or shakes them up. (Naughty you.) You might also meet someone who is new and exciting or an old acquaintance might turn up.
PISCES (Feb. 19-March 20)
Like Aquarius, you feel restless today (but you might not know why). Perhaps you sense that a secret might suddenly become public or be divulged in some way. (Busted!) Some of you will do something that is unusual, but you'll do it quietly, behind the scenes.
TODAY'S BIRTHDAY
Surrealist artist/sculptor Salvador Dali (1904-1989) shares your birthday today. You're so creative and imaginative, you're often viewed as eccentric. At times, you are even dismissed or not taken seriously. Nevertheless, you have great talent and a wonderful gift of fantasy. Fortunately, many of you know how to use this sense of fantasy in your profession. Personally, you are fun-loving and playful. In the year ahead, an important decision will rise. Choose wisely.
