Today's Horoscope

MOON ALERT We have the all clear today to shop (whether you spend $10 or $10 million) and make important decisions. The moon is in Aquarius.

ARIES (March 21-April 19)

A friend might surprise you today or you might encounter an unexpected situation in a group. Possibly, a female will say something that causes you to modify your goals. ("The wedding is off.") Hmm, not a boring day.

TAURUS (April 20-May 20)

Relations with authority figures -- bosses, parents, teachers and the police -- might hold a few surprises today. Hopefully, they're positive. It appears something (probably unexpected) could lead to increased earnings for you or a better job scene. (Fingers crossed.)

GEMINI (May 21-June 20)

Surprise opportunities to travel exist today. If they interest you, you will have to act quickly because your window of opportunity will be brief. Similarly, brief windows to advance your cause in publishing, higher education, medicine and the law also exist. Romance with someone from another country could blossom.

CANCER (June 21-July 22)

Surprise gifts, goodies and favours from others will likely come your way today. This could also be a good day to ask for a loan or mortgage. It's also a good day to try to increase your budget or get more supplies, equipment or support where you work. (You just might get them!)

LEO (July 23-Aug. 22)

You won't mind going more than halfway when dealing with others today (which is what you're going to have to do anyway) because people are excited about changing conditions and new situations. It's an interesting, upbeat day! Ironically, you'll enjoy the company of others and, at the same time, be in the background. ("Can I get anyone a drink?")

VIRGO (Aug. 23-Sept. 22)

Expect a few detours at work today. However, these surprises will please you even though, admittedly, they could include computer crashes, power outages, fire drills, staff shortages and cancelled meetings. Big oops! Something that is health-related might please you.

LIBRA (Sept. 23-Oct. 22)

Surprise flirtations and fun occasions will give your day a lift. Travel to familiar and unfamiliar places will be fun. People definitely notice you now, so do be aware of this. Parents should take note this is a mildly accident-prone day for your kids.

SCORPIO (Oct. 23-Nov. 21)

Something unexpected might take place at home today. Surprise company could drop by (but you'll be delighted). Romance looks hot; it also looks like gifts, favours and little treasures will come your way today. Something nice is coming your way!

SAGITTARIUS (Nov. 22-Dec. 21)

This is a busy day full of errands, short trips and conversations with others. A partner or close friend might surprise you. Similarly, spontaneous invitations -- either coming to you or issued by you -- will rev up the social pace of your day. Shmooze and enjoy!

CAPRICORN (Dec. 22-Jan. 19)

Keep an eye on your money and your possessions today because things are a bit spontaneous, impromptu and unpredictable. This could be good; this could be not so good. Therefore, to be on the safe side, guard your cash and goodies against loss or theft. Keep your eyes open.

AQUARIUS (Jan. 20-Feb. 18)

Today the moon is in your sign dancing with unpredictable Uranus and fair Venus. Basically, this means anything could happen. Little surprises will come your way but they will probably delight you (Venus is a slap in the face with an ostrich feather.) Great day to socialize and have fun!

PISCES (Feb. 19-March 20)

Behind-the-scenes situations might appeal to you today. Clandestine love affairs or just a secret picnic somewhere. You'll enjoy decorating and tweaking where you live. This is also a nice day to entertain at home.

Actress Edie Falco (1963) shares your birthday today. You lead an exciting, dramatic life because you're flamboyant by nature. Because you have a marvellous imagination, you love to explore many things. (This is why others find you so entertaining.) A stable partner will help you. You are quick to act on any opportunity that interests you. Your year ahead might be one of the most powerful years of your life. Dream big!
