Today's Horoscope

MOON ALERT Caution: Avoid shopping or making important decisions all day today until 7:45 p.m. After that the moon moves from Scorpio into Sagittarius.

ARIES (March 21-April 19)

This is a loosey-goosey day, especially with financial matters. Be careful if you're dealing with red-tape business like inheritances, taxes, debt, bills and insurance matters. Do not sign on the dotted line. Postpone these issues until tomorrow.

TAURUS (April 20-May 20)

Conversations with others will be lighthearted and whimsical today. In fact, this fey element could morph into delusion and confusion! Don't worry. It's not you. The whole world has Vaseline on its lens. It might make things prettier but they're fuzzier as well. "Boris!" "Natasha?"

GEMINI (May 21-June 20)

Although there will be discussion about various things at work today, agree to nothing. Don't trust fresh, new ideas. (They will only have to be changed later.) Just tread water and keep to routine tasks even though unusual distractions might seduce you.

CANCER (June 21-July 22)

Although this might not be a good day for business or important decisions, it's a wonderful day for creative projects. Your mind will soar with ideas! You will easily think "out of the box." You might feel especially sympathetic with children, and you will certainly enjoy playful activities with young people.

LEO (July 23-Aug. 22)

Treat discussions with family members, especially females, very lightly. It's hard to predict what is happening today or how things will unfold, so just wear water wings and stay out of the deep end. Go gently, gently. (Nevertheless, this can be a fun day!)

VIRGO (Aug. 23-Sept. 22)

Communications with others are subject to confusion and misinterpretation today. In part, this might be because you are daydreaming or fantasizing quite a bit, which is totally OK. Many people are drifting off into the ether today. So what?

LIBRA (Sept. 23-Oct. 22)

This is a poor day for important financial decisions. Postpone these matters until tomorrow. Not only is this a poor day to shop, it's a poor day to spend money in your business or make solid plans to boost your earnings. (Of course, dreams are free but there's always a small charge for alterations.)

SCORPIO (Oct. 23-Nov. 21)

For most of this day the moon is in your sign. However, it is sort of "floating free" and this is why you feel that you're also floating free in a pleasant way. Although sometimes if you feel too free, it's like being adrift in a vacuum -- you have no sense of direction or focus. (Welcome to my world.)

SAGITTARIUS (Nov. 22-Dec. 21)

Just go with the flow today and try not to make waves about anything. Definitely avoid important decisions. Don't spend money on anything other than food. Don't agree to anything or volunteer for anything, just coast. But this can be a very creative day!

CAPRICORN (Dec. 22-Jan. 19)

This is actually a great day to shmooze because everyone is a tad off guard. However, they feel friendly, co-operative and surprisingly candid. People's defences are down. Enjoy group interactions, especially with females and younger people.

AQUARIUS (Jan. 20-Feb. 18)

Make a list of what you want to do today because you might feel disoriented and unfocused. (Actually, everyone is.) However, you will be high viz because bosses and VIPs notice you. This means if you lose control, you could lose face. (If you don't know what you're doing, do it neatly.)

PISCES (Feb. 19-March 20)

You really want to blow town today. No question. Just do something different! Go to different stores, different restaurants. Take a different route to or from work. Talk to people from different backgrounds. Ideally, hop a jet to someplace exotic! (Oh yeah.)

TODAY'S BIRTHDAY

Comedian/actor Norm Macdonald (1963) shares your birthday. At heart, you're a confident gambler and a risk taker. No matter what happens, you survive because you're resilient. Despite your often-flamboyant exterior, you don't like to change your ways. You act in a measured, careful way and you like what is familiar. In the year ahead, an important change will take place, perhaps as significant as something around 2003.
