MOON ALERT Caution: Avoid shopping or making important decisions from 12:15 a.m. until 7:30 p.m. After that, the moon moves from Pisces into Aries.

ARIES (March 21-April 19)

You feel generous toward others. However, don't give away the farm today. But others might be generous to you! (Keep your pockets open.) Romantic intimacy will be particularly affectionate and sweet. Gosh, golly, gee.

TAURUS (April 20-May 20)

This is a lovely day to shmooze. However, it's a poor day to officially enter into partnerships or sign contracts. Just keep things light and lovey-dovey. Today is a bit all over the map. Be careful.

GEMINI (May 21-June 20)

Although it's easy to get along with co-workers today, this day could be frustrating due to shortages, delays and confusion. Casual flirtations that are work-related might excite you. In fact, a casual relationship could turn into something romantic.

CANCER (June 21-July 22)

This is a wonderfully creative day for you! Those involved in theatrical, musical or creative projects of any kind will be imaginative and capable of out-of-the-box thinking. Romance will be politically sweet. Not a good day for shopping, but a great day for shmoozing and having fun!

LEO (July 23-Aug. 22)

Ideally, this is a good day to relax at home or think about redecorating projects. Having said that, it's a poor day to actually buy anything for your home, at least until 7:30 p.m. (Moon Alert above.) Family discussions will be mutually sympathetic.

VIRGO (Aug. 23-Sept. 22)

Because you feel warm-hearted to others today, this is a friendly, easygoing day. But it's a poor day to sign contracts or agree to anything important. Postpone important decisions until tomorrow. (Conversations with siblings, neighbours and everyday contacts might be surprisingly revealing in a confidential way.) Who knew?

LIBRA (Sept. 23-Oct. 22)

You might be tempted to buy luxurious, elegant goodies today, and who loves beauty more than you? Nevertheless, resist the temptation! (Check Moon Alert above.) Jot down your money-making ideas, because these could be worth consideration at a later date. Just cruise today.

SCORPIO (Oct. 23-Nov. 21)

It's easy to be charming and diplomatic with everyone today, which is why this is a lovely day to socialize. It's a particularly good day to build on ideas, especially ideas that emerge from your daydreams, fantasy and imagination. You'll feel compassionate and tender to others as well. "Spare change?"

SAGITTARIUS (Nov. 22-Dec. 21)

You feel genuine concern for the misfortune of others, especially animals, today. If you can do anything to help anyone in need, you will. However, if you are going to strategize a plan, this is not a good day to agree to anything important. Just make note of your intentions and solidify them tomorrow. "First we take Manhattan, then we take Berlin."

CAPRICORN (Dec. 22-Jan. 19)

No doubt, you have a warm satisfaction bonding with someone today, perhaps a friend or a member of a group. This does sound touchy-feely, but it will be a shared understanding at a heartfelt level, probably due to some kind of experience you both shared, either together or separately.

AQUARIUS (Jan. 20-Feb. 18)

You might develop a crush on your boss or someone in a position of authority, perhaps someone older or richer, or all of the above. Others perceive you in very positive terms today and might ask for your creative input on something. (Just avoid important final decisions today.)

PISCES (Feb. 19-March 20)

Travel for pleasure will totally delight you today. You'll also love to hang out with intellectual types and discuss profound topics. (It's all very heady.) Spiritual concepts and exotic subjects will appeal to you. ("Is that your Ouija board?")

TODAY'S BIRTHDAY

Actor Richard Kind (1956) shares your birthday. Your freedom-loving nature makes you grab life with gusto. You relish excitement and enthusiasm! One of the ways you keep yourself free is you have the ability to ignore what others think of you. You are interested in people from all walks of life. Your ideals include improving the lives of those around you. In the year ahead, an important choice will arise. Choose wisely.
