Today's Horoscope

MOON ALERT Not until 8 a.m. do we have the all clear to shop and make important decisions. The moon is in Cancer.

ARIES (March 21-April 19)

A minor mutiny might take place in the family today. Something unusual will upset your home routine. Domestic disagreements, running out of coffee, sleeping in, small appliances on the fritz, minor breakages... who knows? In addition, unexpected company might appear on your doorstep.

TAURUS (April 20-May 20)

This is an accident-prone day, so slow down and take it easy. Pay attention to everything you say or do. Allow extra time throughout the day so that you have wiggle room to adjust for unexpected delays and surprise detours. ("Whaaat? Not this again!")

GEMINI (May 21-June 20)

Keep an eye on your cash flow and your money today. If shopping, count your change and keep your receipts. Guard your possessions against loss or theft. However, you might also find money. (And do make friends with your bank account.)

CANCER (June 21-July 22)

You feel restless and rebellious today! Avoid jumping to hasty conclusions. You're also very much in the mood to disagree with others. (It kind of feels good.) Basically, you want the freedom to think about what you want and do what you want when you want.

LEO (July 23-Aug. 22)

A generally restless feeling seems to pervade everything you do today. It's something you can't put your finger on but it's there. Something unusual might interrupt your day, possibly a secret or unexpected news. It might be about you, or it might surprise you.

VIRGO (Aug. 23-Sept. 22)

All meetings with others, especially group situations, will have an unpredictable element today. Someone might act bizarre or say or do something you least expect. Or you might meet a real character. Meetings could be delayed or interrupted. Things are up in the air.

LIBRA (Sept. 23-Oct. 22)

Relations with authority figures (bosses, parents, teachers, VIPs and the police) will have an unpredictable element today. They might say or do something that surprises you or you might rebel or speak out. Be careful. Don't quit your day job.

SCORPIO (Oct. 23-Nov. 21)

Travel plans might be cancelled or delayed today. Ditto for anything to do with higher education. This could be frustrating because you have a strong need for freedom today. Publishing, the media, medicine and the law are also areas subject to changes and cancellations. (It's that kinda day.)

SAGITTARIUS (Nov. 22-Dec. 21)

Stay on top of your bank account and your cash flow because something unexpected could happen. (Bounced cheques?) Unexpected news regarding taxes, debt, inheritances and insurance matters might also appear out of the blue. "Pay up or else." (Gulp.)

CAPRICORN (Dec. 22-Jan. 19)

It's a bit dicey talking to friends and partners today because both of you feel very independent and rebellious. Naturally, this makes agreement almost impossible. In fact, people are thriving on disagreement today! Keep your head down and your powder dry.

AQUARIUS (Jan. 20-Feb. 18)

Cancelled meetings, computer crashes, fire drills, staff shortages and power outages are just some reasons your day at work will not go as planned. The fact is, whatever tasks you have set for yourself will suffer from detours and delays.

PISCES (Feb. 19-March 20)

This is an accident-prone day for your kids or for children in your care, so be extra-vigilant. It's also a very rocky day for romance. Try to take everything in your stride because the weekend is quite lovely. Resist the urge to fire one across the bow if you're annoyed with someone.

TODAY'S BIRTHDAY

Director/producer Ridley Scott (1937) shares your birthday. You are intelligent, witty and extremely articulate. You are skilled at dealing with obstacles because your timing is perfect. You do your homework and are always prepared for what you are about to encounter. (If necessary, you rehearse.) You know how to get you want. Plus you're persuasive! Your year ahead will focus on partnerships and close friendships.
