Today's Horoscope
MOON ALERT We have the all clear to do business and make important decisions except for one hour from 6:40 p.m. until 7:40 p.m. After that the moon moves from Aries and Taurus.
ARIES (March 21-April 19)
Don't be pushy with authority figures because this will not be in your best interests. In fact, disagreements with parents, bosses, teachers, VIPs or the police might escalate into something rather public. It's small stuff, but even small disagreements can sting. (And they do!)
TAURUS (April 20-May 20)
Avoid controversial subjects, especially politics, religion and racial issues. People are just looking for a fight. Not only that, others feel quite sensitive about everything. Don't be a bull in a china shop. In fact, don't be a bull at all. (You can relate.)
GEMINI (May 21-June 20)
Squabbles about shared finances, loans, taxes, debt and jointly-held property might arise. Actually, this is a poor day to settle these matters. Postpone them until next week. You feel too emotionally intense, plus others will be quick to disagree.
CANCER (June 21-July 22)
Go gently in discussions with partners and close friends because it's easy for things to go south in a New York minute. People are touchy! Furthermore, if you do have a disagreement with someone, it will likely be more public than you would wish. (Busted.)
LEO (July 23-Aug. 22)
Avoid disagreements at work, especially if they are related to travel, higher education, publishing or dealing with foreign countries. Whatever arises is not worth fighting about. Furthermore, things will likely not be settled, anyway. Mum's the word.
VIRGO (Aug. 23-Sept. 22)
Discussions about shared expenses, especially related to children, or the division of labour or shared expenses in a romantic arrangement, will not flow smoothly. Therefore, why even go there? Pick another time for these talks. After all, you want a positive outcome for both parties.
LIBRA (Sept. 23-Oct. 22)
Relations with partners and close friends are a bit dicey. Knowing this ahead of time, you can keep things light. Guard against knee-jerk reactions. Avoid controversial subjects and don't be critical. A disagreement will only ruin your mood. (It always does.)
SCORPIO (Oct. 23-Nov. 21)
Demonstrate grace under pressure at work because you will feel tempted to snap at the pettiness of others. People are not inclined to be co-operative, although their resistance will be minimal. But it's there. Take the high road and be gracious. (This drives them crazy.)
SAGITTARIUS (Nov. 22-Dec. 21)
How money is shared, especially related to social occasions, will be difficult. You might feel you're getting the short end of the stick. This might also apply to sports or anything related to children. Be on guard ahead of time and define everything clearly.
CAPRICORN (Dec. 22-Jan. 19)
People are quick to express complaints and problems, which will likely annoy you. However, everyone around you is actually feeling this tension so be aware of this. Don't get "into it" with anyone. Be gracious. Give others a lot of space.
AQUARIUS (Jan. 20-Feb. 18)
Conversations with others will not flow as easily as you would wish today. What are you going to do? Would you get annoyed and express your irritation? Will that help anything? Of course not.
PISCES (Feb. 19-March 20)
Group discussions might get bogged down with tension and disagreements. If you sense this is happening, back off. Don't take it personally. Many conversations today are difficult everywhere around you. It's actually small stuff. But remember: Small things can really irritate people -- and they never forget.
TODAY'S BIRTHDAY
Actor Cary Grant (1904-1986) shares your birthday. You have a marvellous imagination and a wonderful sense of whimsy. Many of you remain childlike all your lives. And you make excellent parents! You're highly individualistic and not afraid to do your own thing. You need a lot of free time to do as you please. In the year ahead, you will study or learn something valuable to you in the future.
