Today's Horoscope

Saturday, January 19, 2013

MOON ALERT We have the all clear to do business and make important decisions. The moon is in Taurus.

ARIES (March 21-April 19)

Your popularity rating will increase in the next six weeks because your desire to see others will be strong. You'll enjoy getting together with friends or attending groups, clubs and associations. You will especially enjoy discussing your hopes and dreams for the future with someone.

TAURUS (April 20-May 20)

In the month ahead, the sun will be at the top of your chart acting like a spotlight on you, which is why others will notice you more than usual, especially bosses, parents, teachers and VIPs. (Incidentally, this includes the police.) Be aware of this. We see you.

GEMINI (May 21-June 20)

Your desire to travel will be very strong in the next six weeks. You want to blow town and discover adventure and learn new things. Your focus on publishing, the media, medicine, the law and anything to do with higher education will be rewarding.

CANCER (June 21-July 22)

You can expect to feel intensely about everything in the month ahead. Suddenly, the word casual has disappeared from your vocabulary. You can also expect to focus on shared property, debt, taxes, inheritances and anything you own jointly with others.

LEO (July 23-Aug. 22)

In the next month, the sun will be as far away from your sign as it gets all year, which means you need more sleep because the sun is your source of energy. Go to bed! Get more rest. Your focus on relationships will also be strong and meaningful.

VIRGO (Aug. 23-Sept. 22)

Your desire to work will increase in the next month. Suddenly you want a place for everything because you want to be organized. Many of you will focus on health and how to become healthier through increased exercise or more nutritious eating. You want to clean up your act!

LIBRA (Sept. 23-Oct. 22)

All Librans will want to have more fun in the next six weeks. Grab every opportunity to attend sports events, see movies, the theatre or enjoy playful activities with children. Romance, love affairs and vacation getaways will also appeal. New love could blossom. Ooo la la.

SCORPIO (Oct. 23-Nov. 21)

Home, family and your private world will become your primary emphasis in the month ahead. Discussions with parents will be particularly significant. Some of you will also want to cocoon or hide away to ruminate and ponder the deeper things in life.

SAGITTARIUS (Nov. 22-Dec. 21)

Fasten your seatbelts because the pace of your days will accelerate in the next six weeks. You've got places to go, things to do, people to see. Short trips and opportunities to learn or study something new will intrigue you.

CAPRICORN (Dec. 22-Jan. 19)

Your focus on earning money either in your current job or possibly a new job, or ways to boost your earnings on the side will appeal in the next month. Many of you will be giving thought to your values and what really matters to you.

AQUARIUS (Jan. 20-Feb. 18)

With the sun in your sign now for the first time in a year, you will be energized in the next month. This is your opportunity to recharge your batteries for the rest of the year. People and favourable circumstances will be attracted to you. Hurrah!

PISCES (Feb. 19-March 20)

Because your year is ending, as your birthday approaches, this is an ideal time to lie in the weeds and think about what you want your new year to be all about. How do you want it to be different from your last year? Think about this.

TODAY'S BIRTHDAY

Singer/actress Dolly Parton (1946) shares your birthday. You're creative and you need time to dream and let your imagination percolate. You have a magnetic quality that can mesmerize others, although most of the time you appear ordinary. You are enthusiastic and quite intense. Many of you are also quite influential. Good news! Your year ahead could be one of the most powerful years of your life. Dream big!
