MOON ALERT We have the all clear to do business and make important decisions until 2:30 p.m. The moon is in Cancer.

ARIES (March 21-April 19)

Today is a mixed bag. Early in the day, you're at odds with someone, especially in a group, perhaps over shared property or something someone else owns. Or maybe it's a conflict of values. However, later in the day, your spirits soar with good feelings and fun with others.

TAURUS (April 20-May 20)

Avoid conflict with bosses and authority figures midday because they will not go well. Their response will be "Buzz off" or "Talk to the hand." However, late in the day, you seem to get endorsement from authority figures and suddenly, all is well. Go figure.

GEMINI (May 21-June 20)

Today travel plans and anything to do with higher education, publishing, the media, medicine and the law are discouraging. Life is full of obstacles. Then suddenly, the gates open and you can get what you want. In fact, travel plans look great!

CANCER (June 21-July 22)

Initially you might be disappointed in your fair share of something. Discussions about taxes, debt, inheritances or insurance matters look dim and disappointing. Hang in there because, as time goes by, something changes and you end up laughing all the way to the bank.

LEO (July 23-Aug. 22)

Initially today, conversations with partners are discouraging, a real bummer. Don't let this get you down because by evening, relations with others, especially partners and close friends, turn out to be positive and joyful. Today really seems to run hot and cold, but all ends well.

VIRGO (Aug. 23-Sept. 22)

Your initial attempt to get something done at work will meet with obstacles, especially from authority figures. (This influence might also apply to your health in some way.) But by evening, others are ready to endorse what you want. Most curious. In the end, you win.

LIBRA (Sept. 23-Oct. 22)

Romance is in the toilet and children might feel like an increased responsibility, all of which makes you feel world-weary. But lo! What candle in yonder window burns? Suddenly, life is a party. By nightfall, you're laughing it up with others and feeling fortunate and happy.

SCORPIO (Oct. 23-Nov. 21)

It's difficult dealing with older family members, especially parents. Co-operation is impossible; in fact, all you get is criticism and reasons why you can't do something. By nightfall, the cavalry arrives and suddenly, your family scene is joyful and real-estate opportunities abound.

SAGITTARIUS (Nov. 22-Dec. 21)

Today is a struggle. You feel discouraged by others and slapped down no matter where you turn. However, don't give up because something makes you feel unusually happy and optimistic by tonight. In other words, the tide will turn. Keep the faith.

CAPRICORN (Dec. 22-Jan. 19)

Financial matters look grim today. No question. Someone might refuse you practical help or you feel you've lost out on something. "I'm broke!" But by nightfall, your finances look quite different due to a job offer or something beneficial that comes your way. Who knew?

AQUARIUS (Jan. 20-Feb. 18)

You're coming on like gangbusters with the sun, Mercury and Mars in your sign and this could be why you encounter such opposition. Yes, it's a bummer the way others oppose you. Fortunately, as the day wears on, things change and by tonight, you're laughing.

PISCES (Feb. 19-March 20)

A feeling of general malaise permeates your day because you feel helpless or shut out from something. ("This always happens to me.") Don't be discouraged because by tonight, you're giggling with pleasure. Suddenly, a renewed optimism completely lifts your spirits. ("This always happens to me.")
