Today's Horoscope

MOON ALERT We have the all clear today to do business and make important decisions until 8 p.m. The moon is in Virgo.

ARIES (March 21-April 19)

You might feel ill at ease dealing with groups today. You suspect you don't have their support or their respect. (Hey, Groucho Marx would never join a club that was willing to have him as a member.) Quite likely, you are generating this self-doubt.

TAURUS (April 20-May 20)

This is not a good day to deal with authority figures: parents, bosses, teachers and the police. Knowing this, give them a wide berth. If you have to ask for anything their response will be, "Talk to the hand." Don't take this personally.

GEMINI (May 21-June 20)

You might not want to study something or finish writing something or do what others expect from you. You would rather run away and join the circus! But if you face the responsibilities you dread, they won't be so tough.

CANCER (June 21-July 22)

You might feel overwhelmed by your responsibilities with your share of the cost of something or even the cost and care of children. You feel world-weary and dejected. But in truth, this is just your point of view for the moment. It will pass quickly. (Especially if you drink a lot of water.)

LEO (July 23-Aug. 22)

Relations with others, especially at home, seem to be a downer. You feel blocked by the demands of others or think your style is cramped. Basically, this is just because today people are inclined to see the half-empty glass instead of the half-full glass. ("I don't even have a glass!")

VIRGO (Aug. 23-Sept. 22)

No matter what you try to achieve at work today, it seems like someone or something will block you. ("What's with this?") Fear not. You are not alone. We number millions. It's just that kind of day where everything is going uphill, sloooowly.

LIBRA (Sept. 23-Oct. 22)

Children will feel like an increased responsibility today, especially financially. Well, the truth of the matter is, they are. And you were a kid once and someone was responsible for you. This is just how reality plays out. Grin and bear it.

SCORPIO (Oct. 23-Nov. 21)

Duties and responsibilities, especially connected with home and family, are unavoidable today. This is why you feel restricted by life. Actually, tackling some hard work will make improvements to your home and family scene. Why not roll up your sleeves and try it?

SAGITTARIUS (Nov. 22-Dec. 21)

Today you might be reinforcing the very circumstances that make you feel lonely and isolated. In other words, because you feel cut off from others, you're cutting yourself off from others. We've all done that. Time for dark chocolate.

CAPRICORN (Dec. 22-Jan. 19)

Financial concerns might depress you today. The problem with spending money is that you don't have it afterwards. That's the harsh reality. Don't get in a funk. This is the year when you can totally improve your job or get a better job.

AQUARIUS (Jan. 20-Feb. 18)

Your desire for self-gratification is up against the duties and responsibilities you have to face. You want to break free from your rut but you can't. Well, maturity is accepting your limitations and learning to live to the best of your ability within them. Wanna petit point that?

PISCES (Feb. 19-March 20)

Guard against falling into negative thinking today. Whenever you do this, you always feel victimized by life. "I never get the chance to..." or "I'm always the one who has to..." If you practise a small kindness for someone else you'll feel better instantly.

TODAY'S BIRTHDAY

Actor Gene Hackman (1930) shares your birthday. You are an astute judge of character; you understand what makes you tick. You like to be organized because you like to feel that you are on top of your game. You're an excellent communicator and can be persuasive. You take the moral high ground and defend the underdog. Your year ahead is the beginning of an exciting new cycle. Open any door!
