MOON ALERT After 11 a.m., avoid shopping or making important decisions. The moon is in Pisces.

ARIES (March 21-April 19)

This is an excellent day to do any kind of research or seek behind-the-scenes information. You might even come up with some revolutionary ideas related to recycling or discovering new uses for something. Wait until tomorrow to make your final decision.

TAURUS (April 20-May 20)

You're attracted to secrets today, especially secrets about others in groups. Possibly, you will meet someone who is powerful, private and secretive. (You do seem to be attracted to the darker side of life today.) Whatever you learn about others today might affect you.

GEMINI (May 21-June 20)

Discussions with bosses, parents, teachers and VIPs are very to the point. You're not dancing along on the surface of things. Oh no, you're getting right down to the nitty-gritty, aren't you? Discussions today will prompt serious planning tomorrow. (Tomorrow is a rock-solid day.)

CANCER (June 21-July 22)

This is an excellent day for study. It's also an excellent time to discuss politics, religion and lofty, philosophical issues. You might see cost-efficient approaches to publishing, the media and anything related to higher education. Postpone important decisions until tomorrow, but whatever happens will be an improvement.

LEO (July 23-Aug. 22)

You want to get to the bottom of things, especially related to taxes and debt. If you're living beyond your means, you need to identify where the problem is. Not just mushy-mushy but specific. Whatever information you turn up will be helpful.

VIRGO (Aug. 23-Sept. 22)

Conversations with others will touch on mysteries or suspicious gossip. You've got your X-ray vision going today. (Don't leave home without your deerstalker.) It will be difficult for anyone to swindle you today, that's for sure. Wanna buy a timeshare?

LIBRA (Sept. 23-Oct. 22)

This can be a productive day at work because you have the focus and energy to find whatever you're looking for. In discussions with others, you will probe for the bottom line. You might also meet someone very powerful at work. (Perhaps secrets will come out.)

SCORPIO (Oct. 23-Nov. 21)

You'll enjoy reading whodunits or watching mystery movies and that sort of thing today. You want to escape but you want your escape to involve something mysterious and intriguing. It's a playful, flirtatious day full of secrets waiting to be discovered.

SAGITTARIUS (Nov. 22-Dec. 21)

This is an excellent day to tackle home repairs, especially anything related to garbage areas, bathrooms, laundry or plumbing. You'll also feel great satisfaction getting rid of what you no longer need by recycling, turfing or giving it away. Good day to clean up your act.

CAPRICORN (Dec. 22-Jan. 19)

Discussions with others today will not be casual. You'll be interested in the reasons why things are being done or why people say what they are saying. You want to get to the bottom of things. It's a good day to discover what you really want to know, especially if you want to interrogate someone. (Nicely, of course.)

AQUARIUS (Jan. 20-Feb. 18)

Trust your money-making ideas because you have an investigative mind today about financial matters. This is also a good day to make decisions about budgeting and cost cutting. You want to know where your money is going. You might also see new ways of making money that hadn't occurred to you before.

PISCES (Feb. 19-March 20)

Today your love of mystery is aroused. Because of this you will be attracted to secrets or mysteries, even criminal activities. You have the mental energy to study something deeply. You might ask searching questions of others and demand to know the truth about something.

TODAY'S BIRTHDAY

Actress Jennifer Aniston (1969) shares your birthday. You have a studious and inventive mind. You want to improve your surroundings and even the people around you. You strive to make things better: more meaningful, healthier or easier. Although you like to be helpful to others, your personal freedom is almost a survival issue. It's vital. Your year ahead is the beginning of an exciting new cycle. Open any door!
