MOON ALERT Caution! Avoid shopping or making important decisions after 3 a.m. The moon is in Aries.

ARIES (March 21-April 19)

Be careful because this is a loosey-goosey day. The moon in your sign makes you more emotional than usual. (It does this once a month for about two days, so this is nothing you cannot handle.) Tap into your creative energy. Hang loose. Have fun. Don't shop or make important decisions.

TAURUS (April 20-May 20)

You might want to work alone or behind the scenes because the moon is in a hidden part of your chart. Quite likely, you feel a bit indecisive and you might second-guess yourself throughout the day. You're not sure which way to jump. That's OK. It is what it is.

GEMINI (May 21-June 20)

You might have fun dealing with group situations today (classes, sports events, meetings or conferences). You might feel you are competing with someone, which actually is likely the case. Just go with the flow and avoid important decisions. Play it low-key.

CANCER (June 21-July 22)

With Mars high in your chart, your ambition is aroused. This means you have lots of energy to go after what you want. However, today is a bit vague and loosey-goosey. It's also a poor day for important decisions, so be careful. Don't stick your neck out.

LEO (July 23-Aug. 22)

You feel adventurous and in need of a change of scenery. You want something exciting to happen that will make this day spectacular and different. And indeed, something unusual might occur. But don't push things. And be very careful spending money.

VIRGO (Aug. 23-Sept. 22)

Although you're focused on red-tape matters concerning inheritances, wills, estates, banking, taxes, debt and shared property, this is actually a poor day to make important decisions. It's also a poor day to spend money. Just fill your databank.

LIBRA (Sept. 23-Oct. 22)

Today the moon is opposite your sign, which means you have to go more than halfway when dealing with others. No problemo, because you are a sign that is naturally skilled at negotiating and achieving consensus, which certainly involves compromise.

SCORPIO (Oct. 23-Nov. 21)

Putter at tasks that are job-related or do things you want to get done at home. (Put stuff in neat little piles.) You're not motivated to work as hard as you wish you might. You'd rather do something else, plus you don't feel particularly efficient, anyhow. Oh well.

SAGITTARIUS (Nov. 22-Dec. 21)

This is the perfect day to play hooky or goof off. It's also the perfect day to hide at home, eating junk food and watching daytime television. However, artists can be very creative because you're thinking outside of the box and you are in touch with your imagination.

CAPRICORN (Dec. 22-Jan. 19)

Your pace has been pretty busy, which is why you might like to cocoon at home if you possibly can. Discussions with female relatives might be unusually candid and frank, perhaps surprisingly so. "I confess. I did it. It's in the cupboard above the fridge.")

AQUARIUS (Jan. 20-Feb. 18)

You're in a very creative mindset. In this respect, you can trust your intuition. It's an excellent day for writing, especially fiction, and dreaming up brilliant ideas. However, wait until tomorrow before you act on these ideas. (Some of them could be crazy.)

PISCES (Feb. 19-March 20)

This is definitely a very poor day for important financial decisions or spending money on anything other than food. (Personal or family food.) Just tread water and enjoy a goofy element that seems to pervade everything. Hard work and efficiency are tough to maintain. But your creative juices are definitely flowing!

TODAY'S BIRTHDAY

Actress Dana Delany (1956) shares your birthday. You're a survivor: You have fortitude and resilience. You feel destined for your future, which is why you're intrigued with all kinds of predictions. You like philosophy, science and intellectual speculation. You don't like to complain. It's important for you to grow and develop in this lifetime because you believe in the evolution of the spirit. Work hard to build something this year because your rewards will soon follow.
