MOON ALERT Avoid shopping or making important decisions from 5:15 a.m. until 4:30 p.m. After that the moon moves from Sagittarius into Capricorn.

ARIES (March 21-April 19)

Double-check all your communications with others today, especially neighbours and siblings because conversations are rife with confusion. You might also spend a lot of time daydreaming or being lost in fantasy. (We all need days like this sometimes.)

TAURUS (April 20-May 20)

Double-check everything related to money, cash flow, banking and shopping today because errors and confusion are likely. For example, count your change and keep your receipts. Check your restaurant bill before paying. Make friends with your bank account.

GEMINI (May 21-June 20)

Your energy level might be low. If you feel this, don't push things or make demands on yourself. You might also feel discouraged or world-weary. That's because Neptune is at odds with your sign, robbing you of self-confidence and inner courage. Hang in there.

CANCER (June 21-July 22)

You might be filled with self-doubt and moments where you are second-guessing yourself. Don't worry about this because it's temporary. A lot of people feel a lack of confidence as well as a lack of energy in general. However, secrets might be revealed -- juicy ones.

LEO (July 23-Aug. 22)

If you're relating to friends or people in groups, keep your eyes open. If you think something fishy is going on, it is. Trust your gut instincts. Deception is possible whether it is intentional or accidental. Obviously, double-check important facts before you act.

VIRGO (Aug. 23-Sept. 22)

Relations with people in authority are confusing. You might be unsure of what others expect from you or, vice versa, they might be confused by you. Make sure you understand what anyone in authority expects from you. Repeat back to them what you think they want. Leave nothing to anyone's imagination or assumption.

LIBRA (Sept. 23-Oct. 22)

Be careful about falling for cult beliefs or snake oil that someone might advocate. You might temporarily be impressed with someone who is actually snowing you or stringing you along. Your idealism is aroused, and this makes you more vulnerable.

SCORPIO (Oct. 23-Nov. 21)

This is a poor day to make important decisions about inheritances, shared property, taxes, debt and insurance matters. For starters, you might not have all the facts or what facts you do have could be erroneous. Secondly, others might deceive you either intentionally or accidentally.

SAGITTARIUS (Nov. 22-Dec. 21)

Conversations with others are confusing. You might also feel that you are inferior or not up to something or inadequate in some way. Don't listen to this voice in your head. This is just a fuzzy Neptune day and Neptune can trigger self-deception.

CAPRICORN (Dec. 22-Jan. 19)

Don't make important decisions about your health. Likewise, don't make important decisions on the job because you don't have all the facts or the facts you have might be wrong. All kinds of communications are confused.

AQUARIUS (Jan. 20-Feb. 18)

Parent should be extra-vigilant about their children. This could be an accident-prone day for your kids, especially with bad food, poisons or some kind of secrets. Make sure small children don't "hide" someplace dangerous. Meanwhile, romantic partners might be disappointed in each other due to sheer confusion and misunderstanding.

PISCES (Feb. 19-March 20)

Be extra-clear in all your communications with family members because confusion and even deception are likely. When talking to others, it's as if you are like two ships passing in the night. Be aware of this and be clear about what you expect from others and, vice versa, make sure you know what they expect from you.

Actress Helena Bonham Carter (1966) shares your birthday. You have morals and are seen as honourable. Nevertheless, you are opinionated and impulsive! You need to be free to do your own thing even if you have to defy family. No matter how outgoing you appear, you are private and often choose to withdraw from the busy-ness around you. Your year ahead is the beginning of a fresh new cycle. Open any door!
