MOON ALERT Avoid shopping or making important decisions from 6 a.m. until 11:30 a.m. After that the Moon moves from Leo into Virgo.

ARIES (March 21-April 19)

This is a feel-good day. Not only do you feel optimistic, you also feel grounded in a real-world way, which is why, after the Moon Alert is over, you can make important decisions about shared property, inheritances, taxes and debt. Good time to clean up loose details.

TAURUS (April 20-May 20)

Your creative vibes are hot, which makes this a good day for people in the arts or those who need to come up with creative solutions and ideas. Ironically, although the Moon Alert is a bad time for important, practical decisions, it's a great time for creativity.

GEMINI (May 21-June 20)

Your focus is on home, family and domestic matters. Keep in mind the restrictions of the Moon Alert above. This is a good day to plan for family events, especially gatherings at home, whether they are social or for learning purposes or to exchange information.

CANCER (June 21-July 22)

You might get a lot done because you feel practical and optimistic. In other words, you have the belief and confidence that you can do something and, at the same time, you have the energy to follow through on your ideas. Great!

LEO (July 23-Aug. 22)

Focus on cash flow. Stay in touch with your bank accounts, bills, debt and budget restrictions. (Budget is a dirty word for Leos.) You might see ways of boosting your income. Possibly, someone more experienced will have advice about this.

VIRGO (Aug. 23-Sept. 22)

The moon is in your sign today (check the Moon Alert above), which gives a stronger impetus to everything that you do. You feel you have more of an emotional stake in whatever you say and undertake and, as the day wears on, you can make successful, practical plans.

LIBRA (Sept. 23-Oct. 22)

You been out there with your colours flying lately, which means you have to catch your breath sometime. Today is a good day to do this. Work alone or behind the scenes to strategize future job possibilities and possibly travel and higher education. What's it going to be?

SCORPIO (Oct. 23-Nov. 21)

Conversation with a female acquaintance might help you. This person might be older or more experienced. They might tell you how to get some financial or practical support from another source. The world is supportive to you right now in practical and financial ways. Yes!

SAGITTARIUS (Nov. 22-Dec. 21)

People notice you but it's in a positive way. Relationships with others, especially partners and friends, will be upbeat. Meanwhile, because you've been working on something behind the scenes, you've got something to bring to the table.

CAPRICORN (Dec. 22-Jan. 19)

Check with the Moon Alert above before doing business. You can make positive headway with travel plans and anything to do with publishing, the media, medicine, the law and higher education. Your dealings with someone in a foreign country or a distant place could help your job.

AQUARIUS (Jan. 20-Feb. 18)

This is a good day to tie up loose ends related to inheritances, taxes, debt, banking matters and anything you own jointly with others. Someone older or in a position of authority might advise you. In turn, you might get help or assistance that benefits children (or a possible vacation).

PISCES (Feb. 19-March 20)

Be tolerant with others and be prepared to compromise because the moon is opposite your sign. You might make travel plans for the future, especially with the advice of someone older. You might also see ways to improve your home environment. (For sure.)

TODAY'S BIRTHDAY

Business magnate/TV personality Donald Trump (1946) shares your birthday. You are bold and gutsy, sometimes to the point of being rebellious. You value your freedom. You excel at managing intricate or involved situations. You do things your way and want to know what you want to know; you will not be dissuaded. Good news! Your year ahead might be one of the most powerful years of your life. Dream big!
