Today's Horoscope

MOON ALERT After 2:30 a.m. we have the all clear to do business and make important decisions. The moon is in Aquarius.

ARIES (March 21-April 19)

This is a two-for-one day. In the morning, you might encounter difficulties with authority figures, especially about shared possessions, funding, resources, taxes, debt or the property of others. (Bummer.) But by evening, a new friend (probably female) is a breath of fresh air. Yay!

TAURUS (April 20-May 20)

This morning is a poor time to ask authority figures for approval or permission. Do not wake the sleeping giant. Discussions with others will discourage you and make you feel that you're out in the cold. By evening, surprising news lifts your spirits. Who knew?

GEMINI (May 21-June 20)

Travel plans might be blocked or delayed this morning. Ditto for your ideas about publishing, the media, higher education, medicine and the law. Nevertheless, at the end of the day, unexpected opportunities suddenly open everything up again.

CANCER (June 21-July 22)

You might feel that the assistance or resources of others are cut off from you this morning. In some way, your hands are tied, especially financially. And yet, by the end of the day, something unexpected will open new doors so that money and resources start to flow again!

LEO (July 23-Aug. 22)

Postpone all important discussions with others until this evening. Early in the day, people are hard to deal with and closed off. It's not you, it's just what it is. But by evening, a surprise or someone new in your life will change everything.

VIRGO (Aug. 23-Sept. 22)

Life seems difficult because errors, obstacles, goofy mistakes and misunderstandings dog your steps. Someone in authority might be on your case at work. Grrr. Your feelings will change this evening because someone will surprise you and completely lift you out of your funk. Thank heavens.

LIBRA (Sept. 23-Oct. 22)

Romance is stilted and disappointing. You might feel hurt by someone (that they don't really care). Boo-hoo. This is just temporary so let it slide. By evening, things will change. However, parents should take note: This evening is an accident-prone time for your kids.

SCORPIO (Oct. 23-Nov. 21)

Difficulties with family members, especially authority figures, are likely this morning. People are grumpy. Certainly not co-operative. Now everyone, including you, feels a bit off-base and out of sorts. Perhaps even pouty. Fear not, because something surprising will change things at home this evening.

SAGITTARIUS (Nov. 22-Dec. 21)

Optimism is important for your sign. In fact, it's a survival issue. You have to believe that something better is coming down the pike. This morning pessimism is rampant. Just accept this, knowing that by evening the tables are turned and surprises make you smile.

CAPRICORN (Dec. 22-Jan. 19)

Funds will be withheld from you this morning. ("Oh me, oh my, I'm broke.") And indeed you will feel financially paralyzed or disappointed about something. Fortunately, later this evening, unexpected news about finances or something you own will pick up your spirits. ("I found my ring!")

AQUARIUS (Jan. 20-Feb. 18)

Communications with others seem to be cut off or cold this morning. It could be particularly tough to talk to bosses, parents and authority figures. Perhaps this is why you might rebel, so that by evening you're singing a totally different song -- and happily so.

PISCES (Feb. 19-March 20)

Don't worry if you feel lonely and out of touch with others this morning because many people feel this way today. It's like spores in the air. As the day wears on, your spirits will lift and by evening you might meet someone new and exciting. Everything changes! (Go figure.)

TODAY'S BIRTHDAY

Comedian/actor/producer Ricky Gervais (1961) shares your birthday. Your originality is one of the most captivating things about you. Others are intrigued with your conceptions. You're visual in your concepts and can sometimes make your dreams come true. You're a strong nurturer with both family and friends. Many of you have excellent money savvy. Your year ahead will be the beginning of a fresh, exciting cycle. Open any door!
