MOON ALERT We have the all clear to do business (whether $10 or $10 million) and make important decisions. The moon is in Leo.

ARIES (March 21-April 19)

You intend to just be yourself. "I yam what I yam." This is a great day to relate to females and enjoy pleasurable escapes. Movies, the theatre, parties, flirtations and fun get-togethers -- including playful times with children -- will appeal. You will also feel protective of others.

TAURUS (April 20-May 20)

You might want to cocoon at home or hide from the general busyness of the outdoor world. You feel contemplative and will enjoy relaxing in familiar surroundings. Something might occur that makes you realize how strongly you are controlled by your habits. (So say we all.)

GEMINI (May 21-June 20)

You want to tell it like it is and get down to the nitty-gritty of things. (No superficial chitchat about the weather for you!) Even casual conversations might have a deeper meaning. You might also observe how past habits dictate your current behaviour.

CANCER (June 21-July 22)

Because you identify with your possessions you will not want to lend anyone anything. In fact, you might be keen to maintain or clean or repair something you already own. If shopping, it might be therapy shopping -- be careful.

LEO (July 23-Aug. 22)

The moon is in your sign, which makes you feel a strong need to belong to others and relate to them. You're also very tuned into the moods of others, which is why you feel sympathetic to someone. Health issues could be on your mind.

VIRGO (Aug. 23-Sept. 22)

You feel like hiding because you want to protect yourself from the busyness of everything around you. Withdraw somewhere if you can. (Preferably with good room service.) Relations with females might be slightly strange. Explore mystical ideas.

LIBRA (Sept. 23-Oct. 22)

Emotional contact with others is important to you. In fact, you might feel protective toward a friend and certainly supportive. You might even feel slightly jealous of a friend who seems to pay more attention to someone else. It's a good day to re-examine your goals.

SCORPIO (Oct. 23-Nov. 21)

Your public reputation and career are your focus. (Aspects about your private life might be public.) You might be able to use your influence with someone in power or even your own authority to help someone. You're very sensitive to the needs of others.

SAGITTARIUS (Nov. 22-Dec. 21)

Do something different because you want a change of scenery. Travel physically if you can, and if not, go on a mental journey through books or film. Talk to people from different backgrounds. Discussions about religion, politics and philosophy will intrigue you.

CAPRICORN (Dec. 22-Jan. 19)

Whatever happens, all your emotional experiences will be more intense, which means your encounters with others will be more intense. Conflict about shared property or joint possessions might arise. You might have to deal with the values of someone else -- values that are not yours.

AQUARIUS (Jan. 20-Feb. 18)

Personal relationships are tops on your list. Conflicts with others will be emotional if they occur. Guard against knee-jerk reactions to others. Be prepared to compromise and be tolerant because the moon is opposite your sign.

PISCES (Feb. 19-March 20)

Guard against being critical about others (easy to do) and don't fall into the martyr game. ("I always end up doing everything -- nothing would ever get done if it wasn't for me.") Make a to do list and use your organizational skills. (Shop for hygiene-related stuff -- floss, shampoo, you name it.)

Boxing champion Jake LaMotta (1921) shares your birthday. You're sensitive, careful and observant. You wait, watch and strategize -- then you act! You like to move at your own pace. While you wait, many of you will quietly perfect a technique. (You dash forward to win, and then pull back to safety.) A major change might take place in the year ahead, perhaps as significant as something that occurred around 2004.
