MOON ALERT Not until 3:30 p.m. do we have the all clear to do business and make important decisions. At that time the moon moves from Libra into Scorpio.

ARIES (March 21-April 19)

As you begin this week, remind yourself this is the one time of year when you are free to just be yourself. Take the time to get out and have a good time. Focus on romance, relationships, fun times with children, the arts and sports. Do what you want to do.

TAURUS (April 20-May 20)

You might want to cocoon at home because you want to be in familiar surroundings. ("Where's my baby blue blanket?") Home, family and the privacy of your personal life are a pleasure and a comfort for you. It happens.

GEMINI (May 21-June 20)

Your busy pace continues with short trips, errands, conversations with many people plus increased reading and writing. Enjoy redecorating where you live as well as dreaming up ways to boost your income. Yes!

CANCER (June 21-July 22)

With both Mars and Jupiter in your sign, you're revved up and ready for action. You also feel positive and happy about life. Nevertheless, you're focused on money, earnings and cash flow. (You are never casual about money. Oh no.)

LEO (July 23-Aug. 22)

You feel the energy of the sun and Mercury in your sign now, which is why you're energetic, talkative and eager to meet others. Quite literally, this is your time in the sun and your chance to recharge your batteries for the rest of the year. Because things will tend to go your way, make the most of it!

VIRGO (Aug. 23-Sept. 22)

Although you might be physically active with groups (gym classes, sports and the like) you have a strong desire to retire and hide. This is why you should work alone or behind the scenes, if possible. Fear not, Venus in your sign will entice you to charming social occasions.

LIBRA (Sept. 23-Oct. 22)

This is the best time all year for you to give serious thought to your long-term goals. What are you doing to make your hopes and dreams for the future become a reality? Talk to others, especially people who are younger, to get their feedback.

SCORPIO (Oct. 23-Nov. 21)

Because this is the only time all year when the sun is at high noon in your chart casting a flattering light on you, you can impress others. Milk this for all it's worth. Bosses, parents, teachers and VIPs will say yes. Why not demand the advantage?

SAGITTARIUS (Nov. 22-Dec. 21)

Travel, writing, publishing, higher education and activities with medicine and the law are all tops on the agenda for you. You have a strong desire to get away from it all. ("I wanna run away and join the circus.") Vary your routine and do something different.

CAPRICORN (Dec. 22-Jan. 19)

You cannot ignore the need to address red-tape matters such as insurance issues, inheritances, banking, debt, taxes and shared property. Do whatever is necessary to secure loose ends in these areas. "Nobody expects the Spanish Inquisition!"

AQUARIUS (Jan. 20-Feb. 18)

Because the sun is opposite your sign now (the only time all year it happens) and the sun is your source of energy, you need more sleep. Respect your need for more rest and catch some extra Zzzzs. You can learn more about your style of relating to others now as well.

PISCES (Feb. 19-March 20)

You're still in a playful mood, which means sports, romance, the arts and vacations are tops on your menu. Nevertheless, you want to get better organized at home and at work. Remember the Heineken Uncertainty Principle: "How many beers did I have last night?"

TODAY'S BIRTHDAY

Dire Straights frontman Mark Knopfler (1949) shares your birthday. You respect the past and many of you like history. You value tradition. Ethics are important to you. No matter how fun-loving and flamboyant you are, essentially you are a serious person who nevertheless enjoys being dramatic and over the top. Good news. This year might be one of the most powerful years of your life. Dream big!
