Today's horoscope

MOON ALERT: We have the all-clear today to do business (whether $10 or $10 million) and make important decisions. The moon is in Gemini.

ARIES (March 21-April 19)

Conversations with siblings and relatives are important today. You want to get down to the nitty-gritty of things. You want conversations to be "real." In fact, mostly, you trust your gut decisions today. You have to feel what is right.

TAURUS (April 20-May 20)

It's easy to identify with what you own today, which is why you might not want to lend something to someone. In turn, you might have to defend something. "I can't lend you that $50 because it has sentimental value for me."

GEMINI (May 21-June 20)

This is the second day the moon is in your sign, but this is a better day. Your responses to others might be emotional, but hey, you're allowed. Ask the universe for a favour because your wish just might be granted. Who knows?

CANCER (June 21-July 22)

You want some peace and quiet today. Childhood memories and matters related to your past are bubbling to the surface of your mind now. You have a lot to think about -- give yourself some quiet time to do this.

LEO (July 23-Aug. 22)

Friendships are important today, especially friendships with female friends and acquaintances. Someone's input might help you tweak your future goals. Or, possibly, their influence will cause you to change your goals. It's a thoughtful day but, at the same time, you enjoy hanging out with others.

VIRGO (Aug. 23-Sept. 22)

Interactions with authority figures will be emotionally significant for you today. However they treat you will cause a reaction in you. Career, business and professional concerns are important. It's a good day to promote your name or do any kind of PR. Wave your hands.

LIBRA (Sept. 23-Oct. 22)

This is an excellent day to make travel plans or modify plans related to higher education, medicine, the law plus publishing and the media. You'll enjoy talking to people from other cultures. If you can visit them in their homes, this will be a learning adventure.

SCORPIO (Oct. 23-Nov. 21)

You might be curious about the earnings of someone else, especially your partner or a close friend. Today you feel a strong relationship to the wealth and resources of others. You might be wondering how their wealth affects you or what the terms are if this wealth is shared.

SAGITTARIUS (Nov. 22-Dec. 21)

Co-operation with others is your best bet today because the moon is opposite your sign. When it's in your own sign, you can call the shots. But when it's opposite from you, you have to defer to others. This happens every month for two days -- no biggie. Just go with the flow.

CAPRICORN (Dec. 22-Jan. 19)

The moon is in a place in your chart that inspires you to be of service to others. ("It's a joy to labour for those you love.") If you benefit others, you will feel edified. It will also please you to get your own act in shape and get organized. Yup, it's one of those days.

AQUARIUS (Jan. 20-Feb. 18)

You feel playful, prankish and you want to have fun. Romantic relationships are more intense and meaningful. Sports events will excite you and time spent with children might be overwhelming. It's all a bit much -- but mostly it's fun and exciting.

PISCES (Feb. 19-March 20)

Cocoon at home today if you can. Conversations with female relatives could be significant. You want to pull in a little and hide just to catch your breath and also organize where you live. It's a private kind of day.

TODAY'S BIRTHDAY

Actor Michael Douglas (1944) shares your birthday. You have a tough work ethic. You're disciplined, committed and hard-working because you want to be the best that you can be. You often appear cool and distant despite your strong need for affection. You're a perfectionist who is demanding of those around you but not as demanding as you are of yourself. This year you will work hard to build or construct something important to you.
