MOON ALERT Caution: Avoid shopping or making important decisions from 2 a.m. until 8:30 p.m. After that the moon moves from Pisces into Aries.

ARIES (March 21-April 19)

Unexpected opportunities for travel, training or education might fall in your lap. Similar opportunities to begin a new relationship with someone from another culture (or far away) might also materialize. Explore avenues in publishing, the media, medicine and the law.

TAURUS (April 20-May 20)

Keep your pockets open because gifts, goodies and favours from others can come your way. This is a good day to ask for something or get money, a loan or a mortgage. Your window of opportunity is brief, so act quickly. Ka-ching!

GEMINI (May 21-June 20)

You might feel restless in an existing relationship, which causes you to flirt with someone else or stir up trouble with your partner just to get a reaction. (Crazy, but we do this sometimes.) Or your partner might demand more space or catch you off guard. (Gulp.)

CANCER (June 21-July 22)

New technology might be introduced to your job, or perhaps a new staff member. Something is different that makes life interesting. However, whatever is "different" might also create a change to your routine or even a major detour. Stay light on your feet.

LEO (July 23-Aug. 22)

Unexpected flirtations might make your day. (Gotta love it.) In fact, new love with someone "different" might begin for some of you. Others will be pleased and surprised by social invitations or sudden vacations and sports events. Parents should be mindful of their children.

VIRGO (Aug. 23-Sept. 22)

Something pleasant might occur at home or within your family dynamic. You might want to buy something nice for your home or a family member, but unfortunately this is not a good day to shop. Spontaneous social occasions could happen. ("Come on over!") Sudden real-estate opportunities might appear.

LIBRA (Sept. 23-Oct. 22)

You're bored with routine. You want something stimulating and unusual to happen. You want your life to have more juice. This is why you're open to different experiences and ready to talk to unusual people. Fear not. New people and new experiences will happen.

SCORPIO (Oct. 23-Nov. 21)

Keep an eye on your money because you might find money or you might lose money. Similarly, something might happen to your possessions. You might find something you previously lost or you might break something or lose it.

SAGITTARIUS (Nov. 22-Dec. 21)

This is a pleasant day. However, you're restless and bored because you want something different to happen. Stay flexible so that you can accommodate change at a moment's notice. Something surprising or unusual people may cross your path. It's not a boring day.

CAPRICORN (Dec. 22-Jan. 19)

Because you're eager to make travel plans or explore new territory, be aware the moon alert is on, which makes this a poor day to book reservations or make long-range plans. Nevertheless, your restless energy will plan for something exciting down the road.

AQUARIUS (Jan. 20-Feb. 18)

This is a fabulous day to shmooze with others, especially in group situations. Get out and meet people. Someone will surprise you or perhaps you'll meet someone who is bizarre and unusual. Go with the flow and let others shake things up a bit. However, postpone important decisions until tomorrow.

PISCES (Feb. 19-March 20)

Unexpected romance with someone older, richer or in a position of power might begin. Or perhaps a boss, parent or teacher will say or do something that catches you off guard but pleases you. Something unexpected might also promote you in the eyes of others. Stay tuned.

TODAY'S BIRTHDAY

Poet/playwright Oscar Wilde (1854-1900) shares your birthday. You have a discriminating mind coupled with a strong dose of common sense. You are tolerant and open-minded. Justice and fairness are important to you. You are also youthful both physically and mentally all your life. Your belief systems are important to you and you shun hypocrisy in others. This year a change might take place, perhaps as significant as what occurred around 2004.
