Today's Horoscope

MOON ALERT We have the all clear to do business (whether $10 or $10 million) and make important decisions until 10:15 p.m. The new moon is in Scorpio.

ARIES (March 21-April 19)

Today's new moon is the best day of the year to ask yourself how well you respect the values of others, even if those values do not agree with yours. Obviously, we do not all share the same values. Does this mean we have no respect for each other?

TAURUS (April 20-May 20)

This is perhaps the best day of the year for you to ask yourself what you can do to improve your partnerships and closest friendships. For starters, a successful relationship means that you must be as good for your partner as he or she is for you.

GEMINI (May 21-June 20)

What can you do to improve your health, your job and your attitude to your general well-being? You might think your health and your job are not related but they are. Worry, stress, sleep, energy, productivity and knowing how to accessorize are vital to your peace of mind.

CANCER (June 21-July 22)

How well do you maintain a balance between work and play? This new moon is the only new moon all year urging you to consider this question and give it some serious thought. Why? So that you will benefit from your conclusions. It's that simple.

LEO (July 23-Aug. 22)

What can you do to improve your home and your relationships with family members? This is the bedrock of your life because for every Leo, their home is their castle. Leo is also the sign of children, which means Leo parents are involved in their families.

VIRGO (Aug. 23-Sept. 22)

The new moon is an excellent opportunity to scrutinize your style of communicating with others, especially siblings, neighbours and relatives. Do you really listen or are you just waiting for your turn to speak? Do you care what others have to say?

LIBRA (Sept. 23-Oct. 22)

Each new moon is a chance to make resolutions. This new moon is the only new moon all year for you to focus on money, earnings, cash flow and spending. So what does the picture look like? Are you being fiscally responsible?

SCORPIO (Oct. 23-Nov. 21)

Use the energy of the new moon to think about how you can improve your appearance and the impression you create on your world. Take a realistic look in the mirror. What can you do to look better? Look again. Be realistic.

SAGITTARIUS (Nov. 22-Dec. 21)

You are the philosopher of the zodiac. The new moon wants to nudge you with respect to your spirituality and your personal guiding values. You need to have some kind of touchstone to help you when it's tough to make a decision.

CAPRICORN (Dec. 22-Jan. 19)

Humans are gregarious, we need each other. "No man is an island." (Not even a peninsula.) Since your friends are a reflection of who you are, it might behoove you to scrutinize your friends. Do you hang out with quality people?

AQUARIUS (Jan. 20-Feb. 18)

What is your relationship to authority in your life? That is the question the new moon poses for you. Furthermore, it's the only day all year it will trigger this question. One can never escape authority -- we're surrounded by it. Skilful means is the answer.

PISCES (Feb. 19-March 20)

What further education or training can you get to improve your job satisfaction or to enhance and enrich your life? To continue to learn new things is the source of exciting, vibrant enthusiasm for life. What do you want to learn more about? This is a question for the new moon. Any ideas?

Comedian Dylan Moran (1971) shares your birthday. You are determined and feisty. You don't back down from a confrontation. Your persistence and perseverance will always win the day. However, you know how to wait for what you want. (The main thing is you don't want to lose.) You have intelligence and excellent powers of concentration. This year your focus will be on partnerships and close friendships.
