Today's Horoscope

MOON ALERT Avoid shopping or making important decisions from 7:45 a.m. until 11:30 p.m. After that, the moon moves from Scorpio into Sagittarius.

ARIES (March 21-April 19)

Tread carefully because unexpected surprises from bosses, parents, teachers and authority figures might rain down on you. This also includes the police. Don't quit your day job. Don't overreact. Nevertheless, this is a tough day to deal with any boss. Be careful.

TAURUS (April 20-May 20)

Double-check travel plans because cancellations and changes are likely. These changes will not only apply to travel plans, but also anything to do with higher education, classes, meetings, publishing and dealings with foreign countries.

GEMINI (May 21-June 20)

Make friends with your bank account. Find out what's happening. Cheques could be bouncing or you might be overdrawn. Something unexpected will arise with shared property, taxes and debt. Most likely it's not great news, but in a few cases, it could be a bonus. (Fingers crossed.)

CANCER (June 21-July 22)

Be patient with partners and close friends because the fur can fly at a moment's notice. People are touchy, rebellious and quick to take offense. Just remember, it takes two to make a fight. (Three can mean you have an audience.) Don't get your belly in a rash.

LEO (July 23-Aug. 22)

Your work routine will almost certainly be interrupted due to computer crashes, power outages, cancelled meetings, staff shortages and equipment breakdowns. Some might suffer from a learning curve with the introduction of new technology. It's that kinda day.

VIRGO (Aug. 23-Sept. 22)

Parents should be vigilant because this is an accident-prone day for your kids. This is also an accident-prone day for sports, and activities related to the hospitality industry, the entertainment world and the arts. Romance is on rough ground as well.

LIBRA (Sept. 23-Oct. 22)

Small appliances might break down or minor breakages could occur. You might run out of something that is disconcerting. ("What? No coffee?") Something will happen that interferes with the routine of your home and family. Guard against accidents. Be patient to avoid family arguments.

SCORPIO (Oct. 23-Nov. 21)

Holy tensor bandage! This is an accident-prone day for your sign, for sure. Think before you speak or do anything. Guard against knee-jerk reactions or working on something you might later regret. You are a strong-willed, disciplined sign. Be cool.

SAGITTARIUS (Nov. 22-Dec. 21)

Don't lose sight of your money and possessions because things are unpredictable with your finances. You might find money; you might lose money. Something you own might be broken, lost or stolen. Be just as vigilant about anything that affects your earnings.

CAPRICORN (Dec. 22-Jan. 19)

This is a restless day. You feel impulsive. You don't want to be restrained by anyone. There's lots of creative energy bouncing around and relations with authority figures might go sideways in a New York minute. A big change might happen.

AQUARIUS (Jan. 20-Feb. 18)

You have that feeling you're waiting for the other shoe to drop. Don't bother -- it will be ugly and in the wrong size. Try to stay calm because all kinds of upsets and changes are taking place around you. This can include accidents, cancelled appointments and equipment breakdowns. Run for cover!

PISCES (Feb. 19-March 20)

Relations with a friend are on shaky ground. You might break with a group or argue with someone. Perhaps a debate about money and possessions will take place. The main thing is to think before you speak. Don't do or say anything rash. Too many people are just shooting from the hip.

TODAY'S BIRTHDAY

Actress Jane Levy (1989) shares your birthday. You are a natural leader even if you do not seek this out. You're easy-going and often not that ambitious because you prefer to play a supporting role to others. You have a low-key sense of humour even though you appear quite serious at times. People like you and find you interesting. In the year ahead, an important decision will arise. Choose wisely.
