MOON ALERT We have the all-clear to do business and make important decisions. The moon is in Leo.

ARIES (March 21-April 19)

This is an energetic, upbeat day! Your toes might be tapping because someone flirted with you. It's also a fun day for romance, social excursions, sports events, playful times with children and anything to do with the arts, movies and theatre. Expect exciting surprises!

TAURUS (April 20-May 20)

Your home routine will be pleasantly interrupted (one hopes). Admittedly, there is a chance small appliances could break down or minor breakages could occur or you could run out of something. But more likely you will buy something unusual and high-tech for where you live. Or perhaps modern art?

GEMINI (May 21-June 20)

New faces and new places make this a stimulating day. Keep an open mind so you can wrap your head around new ideas and concepts. You have a chance to mentally grow by encountering fresh and different ways of thinking and doing things. Pow!

CANCER (June 21-July 22)

Trust your moneymaking plans because you're full of original ideas. Impulse spending is likely. (Save your receipts.) You might find money, you might lose money. You might invent something out of what you already own. Clever you!

LEO (July 23-Aug. 22)

You crave emotional excitement, which is why you will veer off from your daily routine. Hang out with people who are different and stimulating. You will love a surprise or something that is out of the ordinary. Eat in ethnic restaurants. Live it up a little!

VIRGO (Aug. 23-Sept. 22)

You're restless for adventure, which is why you feel mildly impatient and eager. Hidden surprises might be the ticket! Unexpected news from someone or your own surprise discovery might put a new spin on things. Learn something new.

LIBRA (Sept. 23-Oct. 22)

A female acquaintance might catch you off guard. Or you might meet someone who is bizarre and unusual. One thing is certain: You'll find it rewarding if you can lend your efforts to a charitable group or people who want to make the world a better place.

SCORPIO (Oct. 23-Nov. 21)

A boss, parent or anyone else in authority might catch you off guard. (Watch out for traffic violations, including speeding. The police are watching.) Your exchange with others will be lively and possibly rebellious. (Don't quit your day job.) This is not a boring day.

SAGITTARIUS (Nov. 22-Dec. 21)

Travel plans might unexpectedly fall in your lap. Conversely, existing travel plans might be cancelled. In fact, changes and detours in matters connected with higher education, medicine, the law, publishing and the media are likely. Fasten your seatbelts and hang on for the ride.

CAPRICORN (Dec. 22-Jan. 19)

Something unexpected might take place with your bank account. Ditto for your relations with creditors, insurance matters, inheritances and anything to do with shared property. A surprise bonus might come to you through someone. Yay!

AQUARIUS (Jan. 20-Feb. 18)

This is a fun day to shmooze with others because people are up for adventure. It's almost like there is more electricity in the air. However, a partner or close friend might surprise you in some way, hopefully pleasant. People feel independent and they will want room to streeetch.

PISCES (Feb. 19-March 20)

Something unusual will occur at work. Computer crashes, staff shortages and cancelled meetings are classic options. A new staff member might make things really interesting. Possibly the introduction of new high-tech equipment will create some buzz. Keep an open mind, but not so open that everything falls out.

TODAY'S BIRTHDAY

Singer/songwriter/musician Peter Gabriel (1950) shares your birthday. Because you are outgoing, dynamic and energetic, you love to seek out excitement and adventure. You are frank and comfortable in your own skin. (People are amazed at your uninhibited behaviour, which for you is natural and healthy.) You always speak your mind. This year, you will work hard to build or construct something important. If you do this, your rewards will soon follow.
