MOON ALERT Avoid shopping or making important decisions from 4 p.m. until 9:45 p.m. After that the moon moves from Libra into Scorpio.

ARIES (March 21-April 19)

This is a tricky day because the moon is opposite your sign lined up with your ruler Mars. (Look out world!) You might attract aggressive people to you who are heated up over something. Angry outbursts are possible. Patience is your best ally.

TAURUS (April 20-May 20)

Demonstrate grace under pressure when dealing with co-workers and anyone on the job because emotional outbursts are likely. People will shoot from the hip and speak without thinking. This can be lively but also wearisome. (Especially if they are boring.)

GEMINI (May 21-June 20)

Parents and people working with children must be patient because young people might have a hissy fit at the drop of a hat. That's because the moon lined up with fiery Mars equals emotions plus aggression. Romantic squabbles are possible -- certainly some emotional assertion. (A classic euphemism for aggression.)

CANCER (June 21-July 22)

Family disputes or outbursts from a family member might occur especially with mom or a female relative. (Two females will easily explode.) But this doesn't have to be the case. This same energy could manifest as fiery enthusiasm. One can only hope.

LEO (July 23-Aug. 22)

You won't hesitate to express your opinions. You're in a take-charge mood, which means you will air your grievances, express your wishes and probably delegate and dictate to others. "Build that bridge!" "Move that mountain!"

VIRGO (Aug. 23-Sept. 22)

You will want to discuss financial matters and you might also want to make a major purchase. Therefore, be aware of the moon alert above so you don't do anything you later regret. Emotional spending and impulsive financial decisions could mean trouble.

LIBRA (Sept. 23-Oct. 22)

The moon is in your sign lined up with fiery Mars, which can make you aggressive, moody and impulsive. If you read this early in the day, then you will know what's happening. Pull in a little. Be gentle and considerate. Listen to what's coming out of your mouth. ("Did I just say that?")

SCORPIO (Oct. 23-Nov. 21)

You might be feeling some hidden aggression and not even be aware of it. You might also have to deal with someone who does not have your best interests at heart (sort of a secret enemy.) If you think this is happening, distance yourself from this person.

SAGITTARIUS (Nov. 22-Dec. 21)

Competition with a female, especially in a group, might be tough to handle. People can be pushy. Well, don't let someone push you around and don't let them dictate your goals to you. You are the master of your fate and captain of your soul.

CAPRICORN (Dec. 22-Jan. 19)

Your ambition has been aroused for some time now. It makes you keen to go after what you want even if you're stepping over bodies littered in the way. (A bit strong.) But you feel forceful and might get into a battle of egos with a boss, parent, teacher or female in authority. Be cool.

AQUARIUS (Jan. 20-Feb. 18)

Avoid controversial subjects, especially with female acquaintances. Don't get bogged down in discussions about politics, religion or racial issues. Legal disputes and differences of opinion related to medicine, higher education and travel are likely. Chill out.

PISCES (Feb. 19-March 20)

This is a poor day for important discussions about inheritances, taxes, debt, shared property and insurance matters. People are too emotional and are confrontational as well. If you see this coming run away in the other direction.

TODAY'S BIRTHDAY

Actor Jeff Daniels (1955) shares your birthday. You are imaginative, bold and forceful. You're tough and you're not a quitter. You have a healthy drive to succeed and you are open to trying new things. You can work independently or as a team. You are practical and down to earth, yet interested in mystical subjects. This year is the beginning of a fresh, new nine-year cycle for you. Open any door!
