MOON ALERT Avoid shopping or making important decisions from 5 a.m. until 9:45 a.m. After that the moon moves from Pisces into Aries.

ARIES (March 21-April 19)

You might develop a crush on your boss or some authority figure in your life, or perhaps someone on television or film. Crazy but true. That's because you are ready to be attracted to someone. Yes, virtually ripe for the picking, but you might also argue.

TAURUS (April 20-May 20)

Relationships might be challenging, especially if you get involved in controversial discussions about religion, politics or racial issues. Ironically, these debates or arguments might even be linked to a sexual tension or romantic attraction. And so it goes.

GEMINI (May 21-June 20)

This is definitely a passionate day for you. Romantic partners will be passionate but in a testy, teasing way. The challenge will be part of the seduction. Others might just end up arguing about shared property or how to share or divide something, or perhaps, who is responsible for what.

CANCER (June 21-July 22)

A passionate attraction to someone could cause problems in an existing relationship. Perhaps it's a harmless flirtation, perhaps it's not. Relationships can go either way. They can be spicy and interesting or quick to anger. Don't blow something solid for a mere bonbon.

LEO (July 23-Aug. 22)

Stay mellow at work and try not to stir things up because this is what you will be tempted to do. It might be because you feel prankish and want to tease someone. Or maybe because you are actually attracted to someone?

VIRGO (Aug. 23-Sept. 22)

Flirtations with others are intense. They might blossom into something wild and romantic or they could just as easily turn into an argument. Weird. This same energy can express itself competitively in sports or the arts as well. Still weird.

LIBRA (Sept. 23-Oct. 22)

Be patient with family members and relatives because strong feelings could create confused issues. One moment everyone is laughing; the next moment they're fighting. There is an element of the proverbial pendulum swinging back and forth like this: Ha, ha, ha; grrrrr. Ha, ha, ha; grrrr.

SCORPIO (Oct. 23-Nov. 21)

Use diplomacy and patience when talking to others, especially siblings and relatives. On the other hand (you have different rings) you might be surprised because you feel attracted to a stranger or someone new to you.

SAGITTARIUS (Nov. 22-Dec. 21)

Disputes about money and possessions might take place. You might also have a hot and cold relationship about a financial issue or something you want to buy. One moment you want to do it; the next moment you don't.

CAPRICORN (Dec. 22-Jan. 19)

This is an interesting day because you probably feel attracted to someone and this attraction might surprise even you. (Probably them, as well!) The attraction could focus on a boss or someone older, worldlier, richer or wiser. Oh well, it makes for an interesting day.

AQUARIUS (Jan. 20-Feb. 18)

Secret love affairs are taking place for some of you. And they are passionate! In particular, you might develop a crush on someone from another culture or from a foreign country or someone who is different from you. No doubt it is this difference that is so appealing.

PISCES (Feb. 19-March 20)

All your relationships with others will be passionate. But there is a double-edged sword to this passion that can turn romance into an argument and back into romance in a New York minute. A friend could become a lover. A lover could become a friend.

Author Tom Wolfe (1931) shares your birthday. You have style; you have flair; and you know how to have others in the palm of your hand. You are imaginative and industrious but it is your qualities of loyalty, perseverance and your ability to stick to something all the way that contribute to your success. In your year ahead, an important decision will arise. Choose wisely.
