MOON ALERT

Avoid shopping or making important decisions all day. The moon is in Gemini.

ARIES (March 21-April 19)

On guard! This is a poor day for financial transactions. It's a poor day for shopping. It's a poor day for wheeling and dealing financially. You get the picture. On top of this, conversations about finances and your possessions will discourage you.

TAURUS (April 20-May 20)

You might feel isolated and alone because something makes you feel cut off from others. Ironically, you might have built a wall around yourself to keep others out only to discover that it is now your prison. Go figure. Just take it easy. This is short-lived. (Whew!)

GEMINI (May 21-June 20)

Many people feel lonely just because of the vibes. There is also a general sense of malaise and indecisiveness, which doesn't help anything. You feel like you're spinning your wheels and you probably are. Cut yourself -- and others -- some slack.

CANCER (June 21-July 22)

This is a lovely day to shmooze with others. Actually, it isn't. I just said that to make you feel good. (But then, anything is possible.) Don't let someone older or more powerful rain on your parade or discourage you. Keep your head down and your powder dry.

LEO (July 23-Aug. 22)

This is a tough day to deal with authority figures. No matter what you do, you feel you meet with criticism. Parents, bosses, teachers, VIPs and the police seem to be on your case. Therefore, be invisible. Don't worry about things because this is a short-lived influence.

VIRGO (Aug. 23-Sept. 22)

Although many are discouraged by their interaction with others, you can use the day's stern energy to study or make strides in writing, publishing and the media. That's because you have a critical and discerning eye that you can use to your advantage.

LIBRA (Sept. 23-Oct. 22)

You might be discouraged by how much money you don't have in the bank, or you might be discouraged by your unfair share of things or how others treat you with regard to shared property, taxes and debt. Just let this go by and don't overreact. Not today.

SCORPIO (Oct. 23-Nov. 21)

Start the day with the premise that it won't be easy talking to others and you will be pleasantly surprised if it is. Don't take this personally. Chalk it up to the vibes or the spores in the air. People are critical and this includes you. It's one of those days.

SAGITTARIUS (Nov. 22-Dec. 21)

You have a sharp critical mind, which you can use to your advantage at work. Just make sure you don't apply this to co-workers or there will be trouble. Nobody wants to hear about their faults.

CAPRICORN (Dec. 22-Jan. 19)

Go easy on young people and children if they are in your care. Remember the advice of Goethe: Criticism does much, but encouragement does more. Similarly, take it easy on romantic partners as well. If you can't say something nice zip thy lip.

AQUARIUS (Jan. 20-Feb. 18)

Use the day's energy to clean and tidy things at home because you will feel satisfied doing this. Avoid being critical of family members. And avoid difficult conversations with authority figures at home. Everyone has poor people skills.

PISCES (Feb. 19-March 20)

You might feel worried, anxious, lonely or cut off from others. Take your pick, or perhaps it's all of the above. Well, join the club because millions feel this way. Don't be critical of yourself or others. "Worry is like a rocking chair. It gives you something to do, but get you nowhere."

TODAY'S BIRTHDAY

Actress Christine Baranski (1952) shares your birthday. You are a perfectionist who freely expresses your opinion. You have good insight into others and cannot be easily fooled. Others respect you for your honesty and forthright nature. This year you can expand your world and promote your business. You might undergo a change that is as significant as whatever occurred around 2005. It's time to leap into the unknown!
