MOON ALERT Caution: avoid shopping or making important decisions all day today until 10:45 p.m. After that the moon moves from Leo into Virgo.

ARIES (March 21-April 19)

Your creative vibes are hot today. Let us not forget that Aries is the sign of the artisan -- you can do anything with your hands. You love the challenge of trying something new or demystifying the mystique of a process. ("Hmm, so that's how they do it?) Give free rein to your talents.

TAURUS (April 20-May 20)

If you feel you would rather stay at home today, by all means, do so. Today will not be that productive at work. It's a goofy day. Furthermore, your instinct is to focus on home and family today. (Preferably to kick back and relax.)

GEMINI (May 21-June 20)

This is the kind of day where you're not sure if you're coming or going. Goofy mistakes, indecisiveness and a vague sense of focus will permeate everything. The good news is this is creative day for writers, actors and teachers.

CANCER (June 21-July 22)

Avoid important decisions in business and finance today. (See the moon alert above.) This is a poor day to shop for anything other than food or gas and other necessities. Just tread water and do what is necessary. But it can be a goofy, fun-loving day.

LEO (July 23-Aug. 22)

The sun, the moon and Jupiter are all in Leo today; but the moon is adrift, which means today is friendly and relaxed but also goofy and unfocused. Avoid money decisions. Don't volunteer for anything. Don't agree to anything important. Just enjoy the company of others.

VIRGO (Aug. 23-Sept. 22)

It's the start of the week and your energy is high. You might have conflicts with others because you have strong opinions. Please know that today is a poor day to stand your ground on any issue because everything is wishy-washy. Get the facts and wait until tomorrow to act.

LIBRA (Sept. 23-Oct. 22)

You will enjoy shmoozing with friends and members of groups today because this is a friendly, upbeat day. Nevertheless, it's also a loosey-goosey and goofy day. Avoid important decisions. We all know that Cole's Law is just thinly sliced cabbage.

SCORPIO (Oct. 23-Nov. 21)

A gaggle of planets are at the top of your chart calling attention to you. In one way because you are creative and full of original ideas, being high viz. might be OK. But it's a moon alert day, which is subject to errors and bad decisions. Be careful.

SAGITTARIUS (Nov. 22-Dec. 21)

You will like talking to others today. You'll enjoy meandering and exploring new places and meeting new faces. However, avoid important decisions related to medicine, the law, publishing and higher education. Wait until tomorrow.

CAPRICORN (Dec. 22-Jan. 19)

Right now your focus is on shared property, debt, taxes and the wealth and resources of others. But these are the very issues you want to avoid making decisions about today. (Gulp.) Postpone action until tomorrow.

AQUARIUS (Jan. 20-Feb. 18)

This is the perfect day to play hooky. Work will not be particularly efficient and productive. Yes, your ambition is aroused; you have a strong focus on partnerships and co-workers are helpful. Just be aware that you won't be able to save the world before bedtime.

PISCES (Feb. 19-March 20)

Because you have a strong urge to be productive, you want to pull your act together so that you feel you're on top of things. But don't be too demanding of yourself today. Lower your standards and expectations because this is a moon alert day, which means we can have fun but work will suffer. Relax and enjoy!

TODAY'S BIRTHDAY

Runner/activist Terry Fox (1958-1981) shares your birthday today. You enjoy being prominent in society. Your approach to life is positive and dynamic. Once you set your mind on something, you are determined. This year will show promise for future growth and financial accumulation in the next three years. Plan expansions wisely and reduce your debt but do not liquidate your assets.
