MOON ALERT Caution: Avoid shopping or making important decisions all day today until 10 p.m. After that the moon moves from Libra into Scorpio.

ARIES (March 21-April 19)

Today is a creative day; however, it's also confusing. Stick with creative projects and building on original ideas. However, wait until tomorrow to act on them because this is a moon alert day. Avoid squabbles about shared expenses.

TAURUS (April 20-May 20)

When talking to family or dealing with anything related to home and family, be careful because you might promise the moon to someone because your enthusiasm and optimism make you confident. Yet, this is a poor day to do this. Don't promise anyone anything.

GEMINI (May 21-June 20)

Be careful today. You're happy, upbeat and optimistic. Because of this, you are willing to go out on a limb for something. However, this is a moon alert day and a poor day for major decisions and major purchases. Be cautious! Forewarned is forearmed.

CANCER (June 21-July 22)

Today you're tempted to make a big purchase or an important decision about money because you feel confident and optimistic. Please note: This is a bad day for major purchases and major financial decisions. Just do your research and wait until tomorrow to act.

LEO (July 23-Aug. 22)

You are enthused and energetic today because Mercury and Jupiter are lined up in your sign. ("I can conquer the world!") This is great. However, today is a moon alert day, which means you have to keep things light and just enjoy yourself. Don't spend money on anything other than necessities like food and gas.

VIRGO (Aug. 23-Sept. 22)

This is a feel-good day. For the most part, you can kick back and relax, preferably behind the scenes. You might have a brief argument with someone, but it won't be major because people are in a good mood today. Read the moon alert above.

LIBRA (Sept. 23-Oct. 22)

This is a tricky day because you will love talking to others, especially groups, because you feel friendly and social and so does everyone else. (Admittedly, a squabble with someone might arise but it will pass.) But it's a poor day for important decisions. Enjoy yourself and keep things light.

SCORPIO (Oct. 23-Nov. 21)

You're full of big ideas today and eager to share them with someone in authority, such as a parent or boss. They will be impressed with your enthusiasm and vision. Nevertheless, this is a poor day to agree to anything important or volunteer for anything. Wait until tomorrow.

SAGITTARIUS (Nov. 22-Dec. 21)

You will enjoy any kind of study today. You will also enjoy writing or exploring opportunities in publishing and the media. But whatever you do, work tentatively. Do research or continue as usual. Don't initiate anything new. See the moon alert above.

CAPRICORN (Dec. 22-Jan. 19)

You feel generous to others, which is why you might be tempted to give away the farm today. In fact, this is a poor day to make important decisions about inheritances, shared property or how to divide something. Do your research but wait until tomorrow to act.

AQUARIUS (Jan. 20-Feb. 18)

This is a great day to shmooz with others and enjoy the company of partners and close friends. People are upbeat, friendly and enthusiastic. Interaction with groups will be particularly rewarding. (Even though a minor squabble is likely.)

PISCES (Feb. 19-March 20)

Some of you are involved in work-related travel today. This is a good day to get others on your side and make a team effort about something. However, avoid important decisions. Do not make commitments to others. Just line things up and wait until tomorrow to finalize anything.

Actor Sam Worthington (1976) shares your birthday today. You are versatile and accomplished in many avenues of life. Whatever you do, you put a characteristic stamp on it. You are independent and determined. You are well aware of your talents and limitations. Good news! This year might be one of the most powerful years of your life. It's a good time to liquidate what you own and reap what you have sown.
