Today's horoscope

MOON ALERT: We have the all-clear today to do business (whether $10 or $10 million) and make important decisions until 9:15 p.m. The moon is in Virgo.

ARIES (March 21-April 19)

Focus on getting your work done today as opposed to goofing off and playing, because your rewards will come from work, not pleasure. In fact, relations with others in social situations, romance and relating to children or younger people will be a bit stiff. (Nothing to worry about.)

TAURUS (April 20-May 20)

Family relationships are not easy today. But it's important to know this: things are not as bad as big seem. Today, the planet Venus that governs relationships in general is at odds with Saturn, and this makes everything a bit aloof and unfriendly. It's still an okay day.

GEMINI (May 21-June 20)

You can get things done at home today and improve where you live. You can also explore real-estate matters with relative ease. However, relations with siblings and relatives and even daily contacts are a bit cool. People are isolated and detached.

CANCER (June 21-July 22)

You are always aware of money and your finances because you are practical and frugal. Today you might feel disappointed about a financial situation. Perhaps it's about your earnings or perhaps how much money you don't have! There are difficulties dealing with someone.

LEO (July 23-Aug. 22)

Although matters at work, especially related to your finances, look pretty strong today, your personal relationships with others, especially someone at home or within the family, are strained. Just accept this with grace and patience. Demonstrate your Leo nobility.

VIRGO (Aug. 23-Sept. 22)

It will not be in your best interests to be aggressive with others today because you will only create resentment or draw criticism to you. Pull back. Give this situation some breathing room. The sun, the moon and Mercury are in your sign ready to help. Timing is everything.

LIBRA (Sept. 23-Oct. 22)

You like to get along with others because you are a social sign. Today, however, relations with friends or members of groups, particularly artistic, creative types, seem to be strained. Don't be upset -- many people are encountering this today. It's temporary.

SCORPIO (Oct. 23-Nov. 21)

Although you are enjoying popularity with others at this time, especially female friends, today things are a bit strained dealing with parents, bosses and VIPs. You might get the cold shoulder. Knowing this ahead of time, don't ask for anything! Give these people a wide berth.

SAGITTARIUS (Nov. 22-Dec. 21)

You make a great impression on others now and you can use this to your advantage. However, today your dealings with people from other cultures or different countries might be strained. Similarly, business related to publishing, the media, medicine and the law could be stalled in the water.

CAPRICORN (Dec. 22-Jan. 19)

Give in to your desire for a little adventure and a change of scenery if possible. Travel somewhere or do something different! Go someplace you've never been before. However, don't ask others for gifts, favours or loans today. It ain't coming.

AQUARIUS (Jan. 20-Feb. 18)

Focus on banking matters and anything to do with shared property, taxes, debt, inheritances and the resources of others. Your dealings with these areas will go well today. However, relations with partners and close friends will be cool and aloof. It's just what it is.

PISCES (Feb. 19-March 20)

Cut others some slack at work today, because when it comes to smooth relations on the job, some days are better than others and this isn't one of them. Just grin and bear it. This is a temporary dark cloud on your horizon. (Relations with friends and partners are solid.)

TODAY'S BIRTHDAY

Actor Chris Pine (1980) shares your birthday. You work well in collaboration with others. You understand organization and structure within a group, as well as within the family. You can be an excellent parent. This is a year of expansion and experimentation for you. You might also undergo a change that is as significant as something that occurred around 2005. It's time to try your wings!
