Bieber a guest on The Simpsons
JUSTIN Bieber is bringing his swag to The Simpsons.
The 18-year-old Canadian pop star let the news slip on Monday when he tweeted, "just did a voice-over for the SIMPSONS!!! #swaggy." Though the tweet was soon deleted, The Simpsons' executive producer Al Jean confirmed the Bieber appearance to Entertainment Weekly.
"He tries to get into a talent show that Bart is playing piano in and they won't admit him," Jean told EW. "Draw your own conclusions."
The episode, entitled The Fabulous Faker Boy, is set to air in 2013 as part of the series' 24th season. (Yes, that makes the show older than the Biebs himself).
Despite being the swaggiest Simpsons character since Poochie, Jean revealed that Bieber will have a relatively minor role. "It's a cameo," he told EW, adding that he hopes Beliebers won't have a cow when the pint-sized pop star leaves the screen. "All of his fans should watch every minute of the show, before and after he's on."
The Simpsons' 24th season premieres Sept. 30 on Fox and Global and is set to feature guest spots from Edward Norton, Steve Carell, Zooey Deschanel, Anne Hathaway, and Natalie Portman as well as the Believe star himself.
