Bullock takes home four People's Choice trophies

LOS ANGELES -- Sandra Bullock cleaned up at the 40th annual People's Choice Awards, taking home four trophies as the evening's top winner.

Bullock was named favourite movie, comedic and dramatic actress, and she shared the favourite movie duo award with Gravity co-star George Clooney.

Fans deemed Ellen DeGeneres their favourite daytime TV host, making her the woman who has won the most People's Choice Awards with a total of 14 trophies.

Iron Man 3 scored three awards including Robert Downey Jr.'s nod as favourite action movie star. Justin Timberlake also nabbed three prizes, and the cast of The Big Bang Theory was named favourite TV comedy.

Jennifer Hudson received the humanitarian award for her work with children.

Kat Dennings and Beth Behrs, the stars of 2 Broke Girls, hosted the show at the Nokia Theatre.
