LET the bump-watch games begin, Kerry Washington edition.
One day after scads of mags announced the (unconfirmed) celebrity pregnancy du jour, the actress, who plays political fixer Olivia Pope on Scandal, went on Jimmy Fallon Thursday night wearing an ensemble that's got gossip tongues wagging: she must be.
It was Olivia Pope-elegant (and discreet): a black-and-white embroidered skirt and matching, floaty top.
Of course, the profoundly private Washington, who married NFLer Nnamdi Asomugha in June, didn't utter a peep about whether hers were maternity clothes, but, wearing a pair of "naughty" black cat ears in honour of the holiday, she did get downright indignant about another kind of clothes: costumes.
"I hate it. I hate it," she told Fallon. "I dress up as other people for a living all year long, so on Halloween, I like to be myself."
Round 2 of this edition of celebrity bump watch took place when Washington took the Studio 8H stage to host Fallon's old stomping grounds, Saturday Night Live. Again, she didn't address her pregnancy, but the loose-fitting black dress from a woman who usually wears tailored outfits seemed designed to disguise a pregnant belly.
