No Winnipeg love for The Bachelor Canada
IT will be several weeks before TV viewers find out if The Bachelor Canada -- a.k.a. Brad Smith -- will find love, but after just two episodes of the Citytv reality series, this much is clear:
He won't find it in Winnipeg.
Wednesday's instalment of The Bachelor Canada saw Smith bid farewell to the second of two local women who had been vying for his attention and affection -- Laura F., a 23-year-old University of Manitoba student, was one of four bachelorettes who did not receive a rose during the episode-ending flower-handout ceremony.
In last week's series première, 29-year-old Amber, a strip-club server from Winnipeg, failed to receive a rose despite having made the series' flashiest entrance, arriving at The Bachelor Canada's mansion astride a motorcycle rather than inside a limousine.
Next week's episode will see Smith and the remaining bachelorettes visit a cattle ranch near Calgary before jetting off to the warmer climes of Mexico. The series airs Wednesdays at 8:30 p.m. on Citytv.
