After Wednesday's triple-overtime thriller to open the Cup final series, there's every reason to believe this original-six matchup between the Hawks and Wings will be a classic. TV ratings on both sides of the border are sure to be high. CBC/NBC, 7 p.m.

NASCAR fans won't want to miss this race from Michigan International Speedway in Brooklyn, Mich. Part of the prestigious Nationwide Series, the event has been around since 1992, when it debuted as a 200-mile race. ABC, 1:15 p.m.
Correspondents report on an area of Highway 16 in rural British Columbia, that's become known as "The Highway of Tears." More than 20 girls and women have either disappeared or been killed on that dark stretch of pavement. CBS, 9 p.m.
Saturday Night Live
Christina Applegate takes charge as host of this edition from last season, which also features an appearance by musical guest Passion Pit. Sketches poke fun at everything from iPhones and fancy shavers to politics, dance and popular music. NBC, 10:30 p.m./Global, midnight.
