Masterpiece Mystery!

In this new instalment of Silk, the pupils are given their first opportunity to stand up in court as Martha defends a teenager. Another case finds her defending a cop accused of racism. Also, Clive receives astonishing news. PBS, 9 p.m.

MDA Show of Strength

Celebrities band together to raise funds and awareness for the Muscular Dystrophy Association in this two-hour telethon. The MDA's purpose is to help those affected by progressive and sometimes fatal muscle diseases such as muscular dystrophy and ALS. ABC, 8 p.m.
