Trailer Park Boys coming to town to ruin Christmas
YOU can take the Boys off TV, but apparently, you can't get them out of the Trailer Park.
A full five years after their Showcase TV series left the Canadian airwaves, Trailer Park Boys Ricky, Julian and Bubbles (Robb Wells, J.P. Tremblay and Mike Smith) are taking their act back out on the road for a not-quite-festive seasonal tour titled Dear Santa Claus, Go (expletive) Yourself. The TPB roadshow stops in Winnipeg on Dec. 12 at the Burton Cummings Theatre.
According to the tour-announcement press release, the show focuses on Bubbles' desire to spread the true meaning of Christmas, which is short-circuited by Julian's attempt to cash in on the festive season and Ricky's ongoing quest to meet the real Santa. Along the way, their efforts are interrupted by perennial trailer-park foes Jim Lahey and Randy (John Dunsworth, Pat Roach).
Tickets are $32.75 and $41.25, on sale Friday, Sept. 28 at Ticketmaster.
