The Houston Texans open the day against the Detroit Lions (11:30 a.m., CBS/Citytv), then the Washington Redskins take on the Cowboys in Dallas (3:30 p.m., Fox/Citytv). In the nightcap, the Pats visit the Jets (7:30 p.m., NBC/Sportsnet).

It's a SpongeBob Christmas!

Friday, Nov. 23 at 8:30 p.m., CBS

The parade of holiday programs has officially begun. This new stop-motion adventure, based on the popular cartoon series, follows the undersea antics of SpongeBob and his pals as the evil Plankton tries to turn Christmas bad with a jerktonium-laced fruitcake.

How the Grinch Stole Christmas

Tuesday, Nov. 27 at 7 p.m., ABC

It's the first appearance of a must-see festive classic. Viewers won't want to miss this perennial Christmas classic. This 1966 animated special, narrated by Boris Karloff, follows the story of the Grinch, who hates Christmas and tries to ruin it for the residents of Whoville.
