Homegrown fashion show to raise funds for WAG

The Winnipeg Art Gallery is about to do a little turn on the catwalk.

On May 23, while New York’s Metropolitan Museum of Art is exhibiting Schiaparelli and Prada, the WAG will be showcasing the homegrown design talents of Sarah Pacini, Iris Setlakwe, Nanette Lepore and Rachel Mara.

The gallery will transform its exhibition spaces into a fashion runway for The Collection: A Fashion Show. Against a backdrop of the WAG’s Collection on View exhibition, models will show off the latest looks from Winnipeg’s fine boutiques, including Danali, Candie & Dolls, Moule and Swank.

Tickets are $40, $50 for non-members and can be purchased by calling 789-1769 or online bty clicking here. All proceeds from the show, which starts at 7 p.m., will benefit the gallery.
