Three Winnipeg dance troupes who have recently marked major anniversaries are teaming up with the Winnipeg Symphony Orchestra for a free concert in celebration of the summer solstice.

From noon to 1 p.m., on June 20 at Central Park, the WSO, the Royal Winnipeg Ballet, the Sarah Sommer Chai Folk Ensemble and the Rusalka Ukrainian Dance Ensemble will perform at the Summer Solstice Concert in the Park.

The RWB will enter its 75th year this fall. The Sarah Sommer Chai Folk Ensemble and the Rusalka Ukrainian Dance Ensemble both turned 50 in the last year, with Chai Folk marking the anniversary with a concert at the Centennial Concert Hall on June 10.
