If your house were on fire, heaven forbid, what’s the one item contained within that you would try to take with you? (People, pets and computers not included.)

My library. I have rare sexology books that are now impossible to find. They contain history of what we would think is totally absurd today, like how women’s uterus’s floated throughout their bodies and how masturbation would make you grow hair on your palms.

What’s the one clothing/fashion item you can’t live without?

My boots. I have several pairs of boots from Italy that I wear and rotate all year round. Or my aboriginal gauntlet mittens.

What’s your favourite knick-knack and why?

A wood serving bowl set and carved squash/gourds from Nigeria.

What’s the oldest thing you own?

A couple of things: An Inuit version of the Bilboquet called Iyaga, which is a stick-and-ball game. People know it otherwise as the cup-and-ball game.

I think it’s close to 100 years old. Also, a mysterious limestone rock formation with a fossilized egg-like thing embedded in it. It’s likely more than 30 million years old.

Describe your most beloved piece of furniture.

My antique Chinese Dragon carved camphor trunk. Please don’t ask me what I store in my trunk. It’s an unspoken rule for sexologists to never discuss what’s in our trunks.

Is there an edible item we’ll always find in your pantry or fridge?

Pickles.
