Rock, paper, scissors tourney raises money to fight cancer

Fists will fly at Shaw Park next month as Winnipeg plays host to Canada’s largest Rock, Paper, Scissors Tournament.

The fundraising event takes place Sept. 29. Individuals and teams are urged to lend a hand in the fight against colon cancer by putting their luck and their lightning-fast reflexes to the test.

The tournament will be divided into three "weight" classes based on how much money participants raise. Organizers also hope to set a new Canadian record for greatest number of people playing the age-old decision-making game.

Early bird registration is now open and will close Aug. 29. Fee is $10.
