-- Ethan, who owner Kelley Rutkair, of Argyle, adopted last year from Manitoba Pug Rescue, which had rescued him from a puppy mill.

-- Hobbes, a.k.a. Hobbezilla, a nod to his size, a 10-year-old tabby cat owned by Leigh Patterson of Winnipeg.

-- Tabi, a two-year-old abused cat that Dennis and Doreen Gowler of Winnipeg rescued when they met her on their Mexican vacation.
